2009 Season

Post#1 » by fishtheman04 » Mon Oct 12, 2009 3:56 am

After watching the game this afternoon against NY, I think I'm officially convinced that this Oakland team probably will be lucky to win another game this season. They came out and did absolutely nothing, the touchdown the scored was pure luck. The game would have been much worse had NY not pulled Eli out about halfway through the 2nd quarter. We have talent, just not a team. JaMarcus Russell for example has talent but just needs to screw his head on right. I mean they are starting to compare him to fn Ryan Leaf!

What does everyone think this team needs to do to get better?

Just extremely ugly and not much to praise.

Philly is favored to win by 14 points this week.

Raiders holding a 10-3 lead on the Eagles! Not bad other that that interception by Russell. We need this game....

What a win that was.

I was simply shocked how Philly played.

Yeah if we play the way we did against Philly, and guys like Russell continue to improve we could be a very competitive team. For like the first five games of the season we looked like absolute crap. We just need to keep going out there and being competitive. Next week we play the Jets, who we have had success against in recent history no matter how bad our team was. Could we possibly make it 3-4 for the season....

I lay down a G on the Eagles minus 8 and over 32 on a teaser and they decide to choke. Everytime I bet with the Raiders I lose so for the fisrt time I decided to bet against them and then THIS.

Now I realize why I hate this team after years of loving them. They just cant seem to stay consistant.

Ok down 31-0 to the Jets is like basically mailing the season in at this point....

This front office needs to get cleared and started over already because we haven't done anything since that loss in the Superbowl

They happened to get me that week as well. I only needed Philly to win straight up to finish out my ML parlay card. Let's just say I had ALOT more on the game. I was completely amazed! The Jets shut them out and now the Chargers are favored to win by 16-17 points.

Well we managed to beat Pittsburg and go 2-1 in the last 3 weeks. Not bad for supposedly a bottom 3 team in the league. We're finally starting to show some fight and are playing much better with Gradkowski at the helm. Hopefully we can beat Washington and Cleveland and possibly finish the season at 6-10 (or 7-9 if we can upset Denver or Baltimore) Thinking that is definitely within reach for us...

The season has it's moments of big wins, but plenty of downers to go with it, and it's about time positive changes are made.

Cheers to a good off-season!
