Let's stay realistic here, ya the win was good, but we played our main guys maximum minutes and still only won by 7.

If GSW played Ellis, Biedrins, and Maggette 30-40 minutes, there could have been a good chance that we lost.

Find the positives, but don't overblow the win.

I'm starting to think that if the Kings delivered a 70 point win to you while the Maloofs let you watch the game in a luxury suite that had half-naked women willing to do whatever you asked, you would find something negative to talk about.

Last time I checked, a win's a win...whether it's by 1 point, 7 points or 70 points. Is it just so impossible for you to find some sort of positive from a W?

Now that garcia out at least four months, who is going to shoot 3-pointers this year?

Must be true, if it's a rumor you read on Hoopshype.

Since when did I say it was all bad? And I'm sorry for the fact that I always strive to be better...clearly you're happy with just getting by?

It's just your constant bashing of the team deNIEd. You haven't had ANYTHING at all positive to say about the team in very, very long time. Granted, a lot of it is justified, but sometimes you go over the top to kill everybody's high. Can't we enjoy a win at least a little bit?

Anyway, 20 and 20 from JT is an extraordinary feat, no matter who it's against, and whether or not the game meant anything. Congrats JT! It was also nice to see Martin finally finding his shot in the preseason and Evans having a good game too. I wish Brockman got more minutes though...

I'm happy with a team that shows progress, which this team now is. I'm happy with knowing that the raw materials are in place and are being shaped into something that has a promising future. Is there something wrong with appreciating the small signs of improvement rather than bashing the team because they "have a long way to go"?

Good point. Now while I would be thrilled if we got to see this from him every night, I know that is just asking too much. It's just good to see that he has that type of performance in him. All he needs to do is figure out how to tap that ability with a little more regularity while limiting the errors.

Positive quotes from Warriors players about Evans:

"He has a good handle on the ball, so he can do whatever (Kings coach) Paul (Westphal) wants at the one, two or three (positions)," Nelson said. "He probably could play the four (power forward) with that body of his, if he wants to."

Jackson – the Warriors' best defender – was asked Saturday to guard a point guard for the first time since taking on New Orleans' Chris Paul late last March.

"He's not Chris Paul yet, but he's going to be very good," Jackson said of Evans. "He's very different. He's strong. He finishes better than Chris Paul, and he handles the ball well for his size. He's going to be one of the top rookies in this league. I'll put money on that.

"What surprised me is I didn't think he could shoot that well. I don't know if they were just energy shots, momentum shots, but he played well."

"He's going to be good," Warriors second-year forward Anthony Randolph said. "He needs to (work on) his jumper – that's all. He causes some real problems."

Anthony Randolph on Thompson:

"He's a great player," said Randolph, whose 12 points and four rebounds in 30 minutes couldn't compare with Thompson's 20 point, 20-rebound outing. "You can't compare us because we're two different players. He had a great game tonight, so y'all should be happy with the pick y'all got."

That quote from Nellie got me too

He was once clever and effective but now he is plain (Please Use More Appropriate Word) and insane. I remember him saying that Acie Law (a pointguard) natural position is a small forward. Remember Law is only 6'3''ish :eek1:

I'm just glad that both the Maloofs and Petrie decided not to hire Nellie back in 06. That would have been insane.

You can just see him salivating during that quote. A POINT PF for his roster. He's totally envious.

Hey, in Nellie-ball, Spud Webb could play as a center.
