At least after having my heart ripped out in that 49ers comeback win, I assumed the Ravens kicker was going to miss.
I don't want to say the Vikings success is all luck and be that guy. And as much as it pains, Favre has looked alot better than I ever expected. However this season is kind of shaping up like some of his past heroics and eventually runs out. I am kind of recalling 2007 where all the breaks went the Packers way and the schedule was relatively favorable - both of which are working for the Vikings right now. But eventually, as we found out in 2007, that may run out. Same with 2004, all of the breaks and what not were going the Packers way (Oakland game, Arizona wins, Al Harris INT in OT, etc) - but that ran out too. It can be argued that this Vikings team is better than those, but I just think the Vikings are going to come down to earth eventually. Their defense hasn't been all that spectacular, even with the run defense. Favre is playing at a high level, but can he keep it up? He has been notorious for flaming out in the past few years. They do have AP to fall back on, that is their best card. But I really don't think they are the team to beat in the NFC - I think the Saints could light them up offensively and I would still take the Giants over them too.
