Favorite other artists:

Mine are...
Shooting hoops: Rap/hip-hop definitely, Young Jeezy, Lil' Wayne, T.I., David Banner, 2Pac

Shooting hoops: Animal - Jebediah (that is all, gets me really fired up. Can't listen to Rap/Hip-Hop when going to play ball or anything like that as it relaxes me too much).
Doing work/relaxing: Pink Floyd (plus Solo albums), Coldplay (Sem, you suck), Eminem, Foo Fighters, She Said You, 2Pac, Dire Straits, Audioslave, AC/DC, Pearl Jam, Kings Of Leon, Live, Michael Jackson, Nirvana, Powderfinger, Queen, Red hot Chili Peppers, Silverchair, Smashing Pumpkins, Tenacious D, Them Crooked Vultures (so far), U2 (earlier stuff), The Who. Pretty much anything that I like the sound of, but the above groups are the groups that I have at least 1 complete album of.
"Bedroom" (NF33IH, don't get out of hand): I'm offended. LOL. Nothing really, just like to hear the sound of my........ermmmmm, never mind. LOL
Driving: Ipod, see Doing work/relaxing.
Favorite other artists: Most Hip-Hop, Dre & Snoop etc. I'll give anything a try, even Queens lately, but they are a little angry for me, No One Knows rocks though.

I listen to a very wide range of stuff: death metal, black metal, doom metal, ambient, industrial, jazz, blues, classical, movie scores, trip-hop, shoegaze, rock, rap, pop, post-rock, etc.

When I'm driving at night, I like to listen to more mellow stuff like trip-hop, shoegaze, or ambient.

While I paint or write, I like to listen to music that evokes an atmosphere but isn't particularly intrusive, particularly music scores.

Other than those two scenarios, I kind of listen to whatever I'm feeling at that particular moment.

I listen to so much music, and quite the range, but I tend to listen to alternative music. Lately I have been listening to The Silversun Pickups, Mute Math, and Muse.

I just saw the Pogues, Butthole Surfers, The Melvins, and Mute Math, all on different nights, except the middle two (same show.) Mute Math is one of the best shows I have seen in a while, and The Silversun Pickups play a great show as well. I recently bought some "A New Found Glory", Simple Plan, Revolting Cocks, Oingo Boingo, and the Violent Femmes. A soundtrack I just bought has some great covers on it, "Not another Teen Movie." My buddy just gave me "Endgame" by Megadeath, and a Hatebreed cd, so I am kind of all over the place with my listening.

I have been collecting some old stuff, and with the help of a few friends, I have about 200 GBs of music. I just converted some of my old band tapes into digital, so it has been fun listening and playing my old stuff.

I listen to zillions of diff types of music, it's the song that matters, not the music type... altho I have a preference for rap and rock. Usually don't listen to music while doing sports so it's a general thing.

Some of my fave rap and rock songs were by Dre/Snoop, System of a Down, Red Hot Chili Peps, Limp Bizkit, Tupac, Eminem, Metallica, Korn, BIGGY. For the older rock bands : Bon Jovi/Scorpions.
For examples from other music types I like Loreena Mckenitt's songs, some techno ish like "We like to party" by The Vengaboys or "Ooh la la la", some alternative ish like "Sing" by Travis or "What else is there" by Royksopp.

That's off the top of my head, WAYYY too many stuff to list here.

You're the only guy I ever heard of who listens to both death metal/black metal AND Classical/Jazz music :o

I listen to everything & most of you have some pretty great artist on your own lists...

Though I have to admit, I'm a fan of Sinatra, Connick, Jr., Buble, Lou Rawls, Bobby Darin, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, etc.

Anyone who doesn't appreciate or at least respect those artists loses instant credibility in my book.

i realy like that heavy ****:

- edge of sanity - purgatory afterglow ( best album ever, ever ) = mace chack this album out !
. metallica - the rocked stuttgart twice, they are god of heavy / trash metall
- cradle of filth - used to be sick, but suck on the newer album
- satyricon - mother north / pretty heavy but nice hook, haha

when i´m taking some shots i like to listen to that old hip hop stuff.
jigga with the blueprint 1 & 2 / nas - it was written / cypress hill temples of boom and **** like that.

when i´m drinking a cocktail with my girl on a summer night i love to listen to that smooth house music, the girls are going crazy on house - and are looking realy hot. damn.

So I decided to give QOTSA a go and by recommendation from our fearless leader I dl'ed Rated R and Songs for the Deaf. They are still a little heavy for my liking, but didn't mind some of their tunes.

From Rated R I kept the following tracks:
The Lost Art of Keeping a Secret
Leg of Lamb
Auto Pilot
Monsters in the Parasol
In the Fade

From Songs for the Deaf I kept the following tracks:
No One Knows..........this is by far my favourite track of theirs
First It Giveth
The Sky Is Fallin
Hangin Tree
Go With The Flow
Gonna Leave You
Do It Again
God Is In The Radio
Another Love Song

Maybe the last two tracks as well, but I haven't finished deciding.
