i think that quote was not meant in those terms.

i think LB was merely stating the obvious that since diaw hadnt played in a month due to injury he was not yet in game shape. i didnt sense any hidden motive behind lb saying those things. lb is the one who has been holding diaw back all training camp, letting his ankle rest. i think this is a non-issue. by all accounts diaw was in good shape during the late summer playing for the french team. its not like diaw sat on his butt all summer doing nothing. if not for the injury, diaw would be in fine shape.

This is not the first time for Boris. Boris blew up over the summer a couple years back and it took him a until Christmas time to look in shape. Get used to it...

I'm with Fats, I think if LB was disappointed he wouldn't refer to it as "understandable,"

Don't just read the RealGM tag line, read the news piece. He concluded with "as is to be expected." It wasn't like he was mad at the guy.

If anything, I feel it buys the guy a bit of leniency with the fans is he gets off to a slow start. I find it more supportive than "calling him out".

Can RealGM not get the National Enquirer guys to write their headlines?

Pretty shameful. :nonono:

i agree, that was a very misleading and disappointing headline from realgm. are they just fishing for hits?

lb was with diaw all summer. if diaw is out of shape (not as a result of foot injury) then maybe lb should take some blame for that. after all, lb was one of the ast coaches for france. just sayin'

total non-news.
