Either would be a stop gap but Wynn has shown nothing and Jackson is always hurt. And Grant has been nothing special. I know the line sucks, yada yada.. I guess it wouldn't hurt to sign one for the rest of the year and then see what we can do in the offseason.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I don't think this means much. Teams work out guys all the time, every single week.

I would think they would be more in the market for like a 3rd down scat back like a Warrick Dunn or Aaron Stecker than Green or Rhodes, but hey at least they are surveying the options. Green has nostalgia appeal obviously, but I think his tank is on E.

I think Green would be a better back than Grant. Even in his broken down state.

Does anyone think this is a sign that TT may look to take a RB early in next year's draft, possibly with the first pick? Who are the top backs that will be coming out? Jahvid Best?

We need to draft OL in round 1.

Yeah I guess I agree, but it would be tempting to grab a premiere running back if one were to fall to us, especially if TJ Lang can turn into a good starter for us.

Why are we sounding like Bears fans? More often than not, good lines make good RB's. Focus on the line. Jahvid Best wouldn't do anything with this current crap we have.

I wish Ingram from Alabama was coming out after this year. He's hands down my favorite back in college football. Dominic Rhodes had a really good camp for the Buffalo Bills. It was a bit of a surprise that he got cut.

Green is horrible and I didnt even like him in his prime. There is no point handing the ball off to a Rb who will fumble the ball 1 to 2 times atleast a game.

Anyways with this offensive line it really doesnt matter who is at Rb because there not goinna do anything.

Get Batman he only needs like 45 yards to become the #1 rusher in Packer history.

^Nice tidbit. He indeed is only 45 yards away from tying the franchise record. That would be an ironic development if he's signed, which I don't suspect, but interesting none the less. Not that it has any bearing on the current season.

I always liked Ahman, elite back from like 2001 to 2004.

Green was one of the best backs in the league during his hay day here. You hand the ball off to a guy who is relatively fumble prone because of that reason alone. He was all about effort. Legs churning constantly. Just for reference:

Player A: 1885 total yards 10 TD's 4.9 yards per touch, 9 fumbles, 4 fumbles lost
Player B: 1734 total yards 13 TD's 5.2 yards per touch, 6 fumbles, 4 fumbles lost

Both player A and Player B did these things at the age of 23. Player one is Adrian Peterson. Player 2 is Ahman Green. The guy was an absolute stud.

QFT. Ingram is a beast. Also worth mentioning Ryan Williams at VT. I'm not the biggest fan of either Jahvid Best of CJ Spiller. If I had to go after a guy who's going to be draft eligible this year, I'd probably go after Ryan Matthews. Not talked about a lot because of where he plays (Fresno St), but he's tearing it up.

ETA: Jonathan Dwyer. Almost forgot him.

I would like a back that can catch alot of balls and give Rodgers a place to dump off the ball instead of run for his life. I really dont think the Packers can pick up a better back then Grant unless they trade which would be great if TT had some balls.

Green was so overrated. You could stick any RB behind the Offensive line we had when Sherman was coach and theywould of looked like a pro bowl back. The offensive line was beastly and only line as good or better was the Chiefs.

You dont want a burnt out RB past his prime that fumbles mad crazy! Packers aready have enough issues to overcome why would you want to add more?
