Hi Blake, are you considering growing any type of facial hair? If you don't mind me making a recommendation, I think something similar to what Brian Skinner has going on would really suit you. Also, do you plan on breaking any backboards with powerful dunks this year?
Zuni Salas, Malibu, CA

BG: I may grow a beard, but I don’t know about the B-Skin look. I don’t know if I can pull that off as well as he does. As for the backboards, I will try my hardest.

Hey Blake, who would you say you are closest with on the squad so far?
Clayton Wagner, Los Angeles, CA

BG: I’m closest with DJ, Chris Kaman. I’m also close to the rest of the bigs because we spend so much time together.

The posters on the ESPN Clipper board have been suggesting possible nicknames for you. Do you have a nickname yet?

P.S. Looked great against Golden State btw. Excited for this year.
Robert Davis, Huntington Beach, CA

BG: Thanks Robert. I do have a nickname: “Amazin’” is what they call me.

18-15 Clippers.

No shot attempts of Griffin so far, but he does have 3 assists.

Butler was supposed to have the night off, but texted the coach and told him he wanted to play. I'm assuming that Baron finally got a night off. Telfair is supposed to play around 20 minutes or so.

looks like the back-up PG spot could be a problem. Why is Baron even playing?

26-22 Clippers at the end of the 1st. We do have 11 assists on 11 field goals and nearly a 3-1 A/T ratio, but we should be doing better on the boards. We've given up 5 offensive rebounds so far and have been outrebounded by 5. We really need to work on that. We have really poor rebounded by our wings.

53-42 Clippers at the half. Butler put up 12 points in the quarter. Rush has logged 12 minutes so far, but has yet to hit a shot. He has 4 boards, 2 assists & a steal.

I'm glad to see the Clippers are starting to pull away. I'd be disappointed if they can't easily outplay this team. Rhino is putting in another solid effort off the bench and although Rush is 0-2, his four boards are more of a rebounding effort than we're getting from the rest of the wing players. Blake has a nice balanced stat line of 5 points on 2 of 3 shooting at half time with 4 rebounds, 3 assists and a steal.

Anything other than a beat down win would be a letdown at this time. This kind of win helps mentally in the area of we can beat the teams we know 100% we are better than.

very impressed with the number of boards considering the poor rate our wings rebounds.

Clips up 85-66 after 3 quarters. Kaman, Griffin, Gordon, Telfair & Butler all in double figures. Griffin with 11 and 10 so far on 5 of 6 shooting.

85-66 Clipper lead at the end of 3.

Big quarter for Kaman and Telfair. The whole unit played the whole quarter. Telfair has 15 & 7 and is 5 of 8 from the field after starting 1 for 4. Kaman has 16 points and 5 rebounds. Griffin is a little more low-key but has 11 points (5-6 FG), 10 rebounds & 4 assists. Guys did a better job at closing the gap in the rebound battle.

Baron hits double digit scoring a few minutes into the 4th quarter, making it 6 Clippers players in double figures. I hope this balanced scoring attack remains a trend throughout the season. If Rhino can get another bucket that will make 7 guys with 10 points or more.
