(disclaimer: it would be nice if the nfk trade deadline was later in the year, but oh well....)
1. Falcons cornerback DeAngelo Hall to the Seahawks.
2. Chargers running back Michael Turner to the Packers or the Buccaneers.
3. Chiefs quarterback Damon Huard to the Panthers.
4. Jets quarterback Chad Pennington to the Vikings.
5. Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor to the Redskins.

Pennington would not start in minnesota. Just a writer trying to make an article about a team he does not watch.

I think it could be debated if Pennington would be the best QB. He is not a good fit for a WCO, he does not have the arm strength to make the deep plays we like, and it would take a couple weeks to adjust and know the system. Thus by the time he was ready we would be in week 12 or so. And his injury history, horrible contract and age. I would not want him on the team. I also doubt he would make the team better.
Maybe we should talk about this on our forum.

Not a good fit for the WCO?
If this is Walsh's version of the WCO we're talking about, Pennington fits. Pennington can't throw over 20-yards, it seems like, but he's accurate within that range, and for a WCO, the arm-strength deficiencies in a QB can be covered up.

He's smart, accurate, and he's only about 30. Deep plays we like? What team are you watching?

You got to love these lazy attempts at actual thoughtpieces. Especially when most of the self-defined logic he uses is just outright wrong.

Penny behind that offensive line sounds good.
I'll take nothing for him.
just start Kellen.

I actually have a draft of the exact same article from this summer, trying to fill column space between the draft and preseason. I decided it was a weak concept and bagged it.
IMO the Chargers are wise to hold on to Michael Turner. His presence keeps LT on his toes and also keeps his carries and wear/tear down.
LMAO at all the Chad Pennington haters. His lack of arm strength is indeed a major issue, but every single other aspect of playing QB he's in the top 10 in the league. It does severely limit his tradeability though.

He's great at play action, yes we know.
He's smart, he has intangible we know. It's all good stuff until WE ARENT WINNING. And when you arent winning and the biggest reason is because teams arent scared of you throwing for more then 20 FT, it is a major concern. Teams are loading the box with 8 guys knowing Chad can'tthrow more then 20FT and these passed weeks he hasnt been making the smart decisions he has in the past that hides his inability to make big plays.

FWIW I have heard next to nothing on the trade front. Mewelde Moore, Matt Jones, and Jared Devries are the only names I've heard where the phone call has been returned, but the teams are asking too much.
This offseason might be quite different--MIA and STL could have major fire sales of fading-but-effective vets. It wouldn't surprise me much if CIN and SEA did the same but on a smaller scale. I know some people in the Dolphins org are literally begging management to deal Taylor, Traylor, Chambers, and Holliday, but it's extremely unlikely anything happens until next spring.
