Knicks accept, we're not sure on the fit of Jordan Hill on this team, and the fact that we needed to cut roughly 100k from our salary for 2010 is what sparked this move. We waive Chris Hunter after this deal as he's unguaranteed.

Phoenix agrees in order to strengthen their front court with a highly athletic young prospect. Our backup front court players were D leaguers so depth there was a pretty strong issue. Phoenix also waives Hendrix after this trade to stay under luxury tax.

edit:also waive powell to stay under luxury tax

Chris Bosh has agreed to a 6 year contract extension to keep him in Toronto:

2011-2012: $17,400,000
2012-2013: $19,227,000
2013-2014: $21,054,000
2014-2015: $22,881,000
2015-2016: $24,708,000 (PO)
2016-2017: $26,535,000 (PO)

Total - 6 years, $131.805M

This comes as no surprise to us. Toronto has built a contender and Bosh has been at the top of the list (alongside Wade) this offseason. Chris Bosh has been the face of the Toronto Raptors and we hope that him and Wade will form the partnership needed to bring this wonderful city and fanbase an NBA Championship. The negotiating was smooth for both parties and we're ecstatic about the immediate and long-term future of the franchise.

Dallas, Memphis and Miami have agreed to a major deal.

Dallas Gets:
David West 9.0
Jason Terry 9.0
Keyon Dooling 3.5
Jamaal Magloire 825k
Incoming Total=22.5
Outgoing Total=22.5

Memphis Gets:
Tracy McGrady 22.5
Steve Francis 825k
Incoming Total=23.5
Outgoing Total=24.4

Miami Gets:
Elton Brand 14.9
Mickael Pietrus 5.3
Grant Hill 3.0
Jared Jeffries 6.5
Incoming Total=28.7
Outgoing Total=23.1
23.1x1.25%=28.9

******* Steve Blake will be traded to Miami as discussed previously. More details will follow****

Memphis accepts. Even though Bosh (one of our FA targets) signed, we still want enough cap space to make an offer to two big players, and this deal allows us to do just that. We're also hoping that T-mac has a speedy recovery and will be able to contribute asap.

Thanks for the catch. Francis actually min salary would be 1,187,686 which makes up the difference.

Deal works

that is not true,

$1,187,686 is the amount he gets paid (league pays him $362,189) and the cap number is $825,497. That is what is used for trading

EDIT: From Larry Coons rules
http://members.cox.net/lmcoon/salarycap.htm#Q11

70. How are minimum-salary players handled in trades?

Teams trading away minimum-salary players do count their salaries (the portion not paid by the league -- see question number 11) as outgoing salary when comparing salaries for trade.

Dallas waives Joe Smith to get the deal to work.

Dallas accepts because i really wanted to get Jason Terry back on the team. Sad to give up T-Mac because i felt he was going to be great this year but this deal is so worth it. But David West, and Magloire will be moving immeadiately.

What happened to using exact salaries? That's been a rule for the game for as long as I can remember.

agreed

We don't need to make every GM a CBA expert to enjoy the game. We follow it close enough but sometimes a little leeway can be allowed if it falls within reason and doesn't give unfair advantage to anyone.

Dooling will be moved in the following deal pending a deal with Milwaukee is completed.

SAS gets:
Brandon Haywood 6,000,000
Desagana Diop 6,031,000
Keyon Dooling 3,564,000
Incoming Total:15,595,000
Ourgoing Total:12,980,000

DAL gets:
Boris Diaw 9,000,000
Rasho Nesterovic 1,990,000
Shannon Brown 1,990,000
Incoming Total:15,595,000
Outgoing Total:12,980,000

Dallas needs to waive someone prior to accepting the 3 way deal

Also Haywood was just extended so is a BYC with an outgoing salary of 7.125 (avg of 4 years left), not sure what incoming is.

Both Haywood and Rasho are BYC please do the math with that in mind. For these types of BYC average the salary and that will be the incoming total with half of that for the outgoing total.

and

Make sure to add reasons for accepting a trade.

I accept the 3-way.

Basically did it because it gave me so much depth and trade pieces, and I didnt downgrade much from D-West to E-Brand. Also need a true PG..and Blake is nice.
