Game should be on MSG... I might not get time to watch it since I have to cram for a test and would like to play some basketball myself. If youknowwhati'msay'in dawgs.

Lopez & CDR showing some fight, taking it to the rack aggressively...

Arena seems a lot louder than the INOD center :-?

Yi looks quite a bit more active on defense... He's closing out hard even when the man isn't his... Lopez and Yi dont look that comfortable playing off of one another right now...

T-Will's got to take it to the rack instead of settle for those jumpers, he's got to leave those kind of soft shots for the likes of Danilo Gallinari and Jordan Hill.

CDR and Terrence Williams are on but the offense is stalling without Rafer or Brook... Darko looks like his confidence is at an all-time low. He's picking and then rolling all the way out of the play so there's a 0% chance he receives the ball back... Even when he's around the basket he's afraid to put it up, I don't even find it funny instead it's rather... sad...

I really see no reason why Sean Williams isn't in right now... Najera looks terrible... The Nets bigs aren't giving much right now (Najera - Boone) but you can't really blame them because they're never getting the ball.

Knicks have just hit 4 three-pointers in a row... The refs are blind, and as a result Lopez is getting pissed :lol:

God I hope D-Stern wises up and gets the real refs back...

Terrible half... Frank's Sean Williams hatred is unbelievable and the Knicks are just chucking away from 3...

Wow Jared Jeffries is TERRIFIED of Yi right now... and the Knicks starters are getting demolished by CDR...

edit: Terrence Williams is straight beast. He ripped the ball from Jordan Overthehill and went coast-to-coast for a layup plus the foul.

edit: Nate still trying to go at Simmons. Good think D'Antoni took him out otherwise the lil dude would have got knocked the hell out...

Toney Douglas might as well have carried that ball to China on that sequence... (4th Quarters Nets down 1 after that 3 by the Knicks).

Seriously, how much time has SeanWill logged this preseason? I honestly don't see the reason why Simmons is getting so much more time.

I watched the last three or so minutes of the game. I don't think I saw one play run through Brook. Just great playcalling from Frank.

I'm pretty sure Douglas carried the ball again on that play.

Regardless he's looking like a good pickup for the Knicks given his draft position, he's got all the tools to be a solid backup point guard (once he works out his penchant for overhandling the ball), his defense is also pretty solid.

Though I guess on the flipside it's kind of funny how the guy they picked 30th is better than the guy they picked 8th...

All in all what we can take away from this game is...

1. Lawrence Frank hates Sean Williams.
2. Bobby Simmons is not the Nets closer.
3. Nate Robinson is my least favorite Knick.

I think the Knicks defense coupled with some unfavorable calls against Brook left him rattled. Brook also did a poor job of reading double-teams and passing out of them... It's going to be a longgg season...

Since this thread is basically my personal post-padding zone what I will also say is that, part of the Nets problem right now is that when teams send quick double-teams at Brook and he passes out of them there are no shooters to shoot the ball from long-range.

Courtney Lee is the only player on the Nets shooting an acceptable percentage from 3-point range right now, so what basically ends up happening is that when Lopez dumps the ball out of the post it's swung around and away from where he is with a whole lot of nothing happening on the perimeter...

Compare this to what would happens in Houston or Orlando where a double-team in the posts results in either an open three for the initial player receiving the pass, or the guy who receives the ball after the kick-out.

If your Lebron you take the Knicks without any hesitation. Devin Harris is no PG, hes a scorer the same way Nate is, hes just taller. Harris cant shoot from the outside, and hes not a willing passer in the open court, if Im Lebron I would look more forward to Toney Douglas being my PG than Devin Harris, Douglas looks like hes going to be an All Defensive team type of player at some point in his career, and hes starting to showoff his offensive game so people need to really pay attention to this kid especially when talking about our core, out of all the young guys we currently have, hes looking to be the most promising one even if the others have more potential. Then you have to factor in the system we have in place and how much room a guy like Lebron would have to do his thing, I constantly see room in the paint thats open but the only thing we dont have is that strong swingman that can get to the rim at will, and even though Chandler has the physical structure, his ball handling simply isnt good enough. We just need a starting center to be a title contender with Lebron, but even without one we would be a huge problem in the East.

Gallo, TD, Lee, and Nate are tough. Tough guys survive and suckers look for the authorities. Lee didnt put up 16-11 because he is talented. Lee put up 16-11 because he wants it more.

Harris has talent but he is a sucker. Lopez has heart but is dumb. And harris has been around. He is the same age as JJ.

I dont want to come off wrong but so often people are judged by there numbers or flashes. Its about the heart. Toughness is what motivates a guy to get it done when it counts. And thats why the nets are not a better team. Thats why the mavs gave up on the younger harris for kidd. Because kidd is tougher and there for more reliable for the fight of the post season.

- Despite being flawed players David Lee and Toney Douglas do have a certain degree of toughness to them, but no more so than players such as Devin Harris, Brook Lopez, Courtney Lee, Chris Douglas-Roberts, Eduardo Najera, etc.

- Take a look at New York's power forward and center rotation, there arguably isn't a dumber collection of players in the league... And you know what's sad about that? Drafting Jordan Hill exacerbates the aforementioned problem...
