OT -- Chambers to SD

Post#1 » by Ayt » Tue Oct 16, 2007 7:24 pm

Wow. You don't see trades like that very often. That could be a very big move for a SD team that could still come together by the end of the year.

It will be nice to see Chambers play with a good QB for a change.

IDK, I would rather have Chambers than a second round pick.

The possibilty of this happening was brought up back in August, so I'm not too surprised.

It's great for me because Chambers is on my fantasy team. :)

Before terms were announced I would have guessed a 4th round pick. Then I checked up on Chambers season and figured a 3rd.

2nd seems a bit much. If the Packers were as bad as the Phins and we could get a 2nd for Driver I'd be pretty thrilled.

Everyone in Miami apparently hated chambers.

Depending on his contract status,so would i if i'm San Diego.Chambers should have at least a couple good years left in him and second round choices are by no means a lock to pan out.The Chargers roster dictates a more win today and next year mode.

Which is why trading for Turner was always a pipe dream.

Not trading Turner last offseason I could see. They could still get six games out of him before dealing the guy to a runningback starved team.

But not dealing Turner now is beyond stupid.

That team isn't beating the Pats and chances are they couldn't beat the Colts. Hell, they're not even a lock to make the playoffs.

I know they wanted to keep him around in case LT gets injured, but if they lose Tomlinson they're going to be done anyway. They could get a nice pick from a desperate team.

I definitely wouldn't have given up a 2nd for Chambers. He hasn't looked like his pro-bowl form all season, and there is no way he gets good looks at San Diego. I think that his base salary is over 5M as well.

I don't like this trade for San Diego.

I don't know, I would trade Norv for a bag of footballs at this point.
