Who is the better russian Ovechkin? or Malkin?

TOUGH CALL. I'm going with Ovechkin on this one. I think the Pens would still be a Cup contender without Malkin but the Caps would be hard pressed to make the playoffs without Alexander the Great.

Ovechkin but the gap isn't that big. Malkin has added value in that he's a C. He's also better defensively. Ovechkin is more physical though.

ahhhh i don't know guys, if you take out the secondary assist rule (last 2 people to touch the puck), the points totals go way down. I think that secondary touch on assists is just hyping stats. Malkin gets his points off of assists.

Ovechkin. I think that if you had one average team and you added him you'd have a more competitive team than if you added Malkin. And outside of the arena, he'd attract more viewers and sell more merchandise too because he is far more marketable.

Ovechkin, but Malkin is my favourite player in the NHL. One of the few things I've been bang on with was Malkin developing into a stud a few years ago. Outside of that, I have plenty of Leafs optimism so you can see how that worked out.
