Skip And1 hurt you

Post#1 » by kamaze » Fri Oct 23, 2009 12:59 am

I just watched last night's game on DVR and Rafer Alston can't keep a doormat in front of him. On pick and rolls he was lost the team had to help him all night, when he got beat he was slow to recover like it was a pickup game.
In his defense he scored 9 I believe in the 2nd quarter but now I know why he gets traded every year.
 just score. WT!?

Haha... I noticed this too. On the flipside though he does do a great job of getting others involved in the offense, he really gets the ball moving =/

Thanks for the reply ghostown on this forum.... I like Skip when he's not chucking 3's he can't make he's strength is ball handling, creating shots for teamates. Lost a lot of respect for him because he made Duhon look like Steve Nash.

Yeah, when I saw Duhon lighting us up, I was like, Huh?
I doubt we're good this year anyway though, so get used to it.

Hopefully we can nab a 2nd rounder for him. Can't complain about him in the open court though he can pass with the best of them just can't do much of anything else.

skip is by far the worst player on this team omg

so bad i dont understand

he can't shoot anymore, he misses layups, he doesn't even pass that well anymore

hes horrible get him off this team.

wait simmons is just as bad but because of his contract, leave him buried on that bench.

Still he was the starter on both the Rockets and last year finalists the Magic. So he can't be that bad.

With Alston though, you just have to be ready for a roller-coaster. Some nights he'll be shooting the lights out, and on other nights, he's bricking all over the place and taking bad shots. As a whole though, he's a pretty good player to have backing up your PG. Don't eat much into the Pre-Season, he'll get along better with more time.

If you see him running for a layup, trust me have your players tackle him down he will miss.

Also get ready for that ugly "teardrop aka wannabe Tony Parker" shot he misses most of the time. Honestly though his dribble penetration is pretty good, he just has problem finishing shots.

Don't despair. You are probably better than him at finishing that shot by now.

Hell, Rafe's a legitimate starting PG in this league, AND he's an expiring contract.

Just hoping a contender has their starting PG suffer a season ending injury, at which point Rafe's trade value will SOAR.
