Kareem Rush.

I know he was a rotation player for you guys in '07-'08 as his last full season. How well did he play? Offense? Defense? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

Kareem was a fairly decent spark off the bench a few times. His outside shot is easily his biggest attribute. His defense left much to be desired, and he really just didn't do much other than hit some spot up 3's when he was open.

If he gets hot with his outside shot, look out. Was credited early in the year when he was here as being a solid defender, but I think that was just because we didn't really have anyone who could defend on the wings, as I never saw a strong indication of it. He won't hurt you, but I wouldn't call him an asset defensively either.

Imagine Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Then, imagine the exact opposite. That's Kareem Rush.

3-point shooting and basically nothing else to write home about in the repertoire, and on defense? I guess he's average on a good day.

At that point he was being used for roughly 20mpg here. Mind you, it was on a rather below average team. It's a rather one dimension offensive game that he brings.

Defense wasn't exactly slouchy, Maybe slouchy +1.

He should probably be inactive most nights, or rack up a bunch of DNP-CD's. He's a deep rotational player at best.

Kareem Rush is a very good 9th-10th man if you really need an extra gunner. But hes a career journeyman.

Hes not disciplined enough to be higher in the depth chart and/or stay longer with a team.

If hes on the Clippers all season, he'll be lucky to not rack up 30-40 DNP-CDs. (Just saw the Clippers roster....previouslly just realized hes in the NBA, after I googled him).
