Eh...you guys will always have a shot with LeBron, but I still have Boston as my favorites in the East and San An in the West.

anytime! as long as we find some way to scratch SHAQ off of the records for this championship. the trade knida made me not like the cavs anymore. seeing shaq happy would just make me depressed.

anyways, i don't think we shouldve kept him either, but it was a SUCKY trade. cmon Kerr and Sarver... you could do better than that... i hope. :-?

Nash and Shaq seemed to always get along last year. If anything it was more of an issue between Nash and Amare.

ummm... yes, because he was. in the meeting back in june, Nash specifically asked for shaq to be traded, and DAYS later, he was. i hope that some day, after he retires, steve nash is the GM and coach of this team. he would be the best.

If Shaq actually didn't mind not being given so many touches then it could have worked out I think but Shaq's ego was just too big to make it work I think.

No way it was NAsh's decision. Shaq just wanted to go to a contender to wing another ring before he retires. Everyone is talking about Shaq blockign up the lanes for Amare, but Amare under Gentry and D'antoni before him was amazing. Everyone is also talking about worse pick and roll D, but it was the post D and rebounding that was the downfall against the spurs. Bottom line, If we had to trade Shaq, we should have atleast got something of value in return. You know, as opposed to NOTHING in value!

that they didn't do that...is mind-boggling. Esp since CLE actually values Shaq as a commodity & an accessory towards a title

Truly we are no longer in the mid-00's Suns era...

Impulse, I've said it before and I'll say it again: your sig makes me proud to follow this team.

I like your sig too impulse. It really is a shame that such a proud and celebrated organization still has yet win a ring after all these years.

If they were to keep Shaq, Nash had to go, and the franchise wants to build around Nash.

Nash is 35 this season; maybe not this year, but soon, Phoenix is going to have to look for another centerpiece. He's got what, 2 years left on his deal? He's not going to be a Sun for much longer. We'll see how this plays out. It's almost time to say "thanks for a great run, Steve" and retire his jersey.

Return to Phoenix Suns
