Redd for Wallace

Post#1 » by Rich4114 » Fri Oct 23, 2009 8:26 pm

We need a goto guy. Would you guys do a Redd for Wallace swap? Would the Bucks do this? Who else could we offer aside from Wallace for Redd? That's the only trade I could think of that'd be fair.

We would have to be able to include Gana. This would give us a lot of wiggle room in two seasons, only Diaw and the youngsters would be on the roster.

I've been thinking about the team a lot lately. Bob has apparently taken them off of the market, Raja is messed up... I don't expect much. I don't think the city is going to embrace the team just because it's built on hard worker guys that give it their all or because the future is bright. Things appear bleak.

I have no great final thought. Nothing uplifting or insightful to say. Writing all of this has only depressed me. Ugh.

No to that deal. I'd prefer trying to find a player that can fill a key need without giving up Wallace.

I still say we need a big quality power forward (trade Diaw) and a scorer at the 2 (not sure who that could be). Any chance we could get Boozer?

Redd won't play 50 games. Besides from that, we would have a logjam at the 2, and 2 shooting guards out for the season.

Diaw and Wallace are the last guys on our team, I would trade. And if so, only for a 1) An All-Star, 2) someone who has NOT written "sickbay" all over him, because we already have 3 starters who are injury prone.

Absolutely not.

Wallace plays D.
Wallace is healthy.

Redd is just a shooter. A go to player yeah but not one that is gonna get you to the finals or even deep in the playoffs.

Diaw should probably move to sf if Wallace is traded and it would have to be for a 4.

Were pretty set at backcourt I think with Felton-DJ-Murray-Henderson

Diaw for Boozer, or Wallace for Boozer.
Humble yourself.

Wallace for Bell+Filler? Lol, I think everyone here on this board would do this in a heartbeat.

Diaw for Boozer, or Wallace for Boozer.

Diaw > Boozer
Wallace > Boozer

Uhmm, no thanks.

What do you guys think about Wallace+Bell+Henderson for Joe Johnson+Evans?

You could argue that Wallace is Boozer's equal, but Diaw? No way.

Better rebounder? Boozer
More versatile scorer? Diaw
Better passer? Diaw
Better defender? Diaw
Better teammate? Diaw
Better fit for this team? Diaw

Better rebounder? Boozer X2
Better scorer? Boozer X2
More versatile scorer? Diaw has the three-point stroke and is better at driving to the basket, but Boozer's midrange game is better and he's the better low post scorer.
Better passer? Diaw
Better defender? Diaw
Better teammate? Diaw
Better fit for this team? We need help scoring and rebounding, both of which Boozer does better than Diaw, so I'll go Boozer.

As for the Hawks trade, I actually wouldn't do it. We'd be starting either Flip or D.J. then, right? Or Brown or Evans at small forward? I don't see why the Hawks would do it, either.
Humble yourself.

Agree on all these. And while Diaw may be a better overall defender, it's not like he's a lock down guy on other 4's. Boozer at least has size and brawn to exert himself occasionally. He's clearly a better scorer for the PF position. Diaw is better in transition and from outside.

Diaw was hurt prior to camp, but he traditionally goes into poor conditioning modes periodically. Must be a french thing. Anyway, I just think Boozer would represent a major upgrade with low block scoring, a go-to guy in the set offense, and a fine compliment to Chandler. Would Utah make the deal for Diaw? Hard to say. He would need to be viewed as a super 6th man, which I think is his best role on a contending team.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

If you think Diaw is better than Boozer then you should probably pick another sport to start following.

Wow buddy, seems like you are really blinded by Boozer's stats, aren't you? Same goes for TTF and Bassman.

And maybe you should start thinking and realize that a player who has better stats, isn't automatically a fit better for a team. Especially if you have a coach who is know to be fussy.

Hell, do you guys even know why LB wanted Diaw? We were desperately in need for a guy who can pass, and bring in some more offensive flow and ball movement in our game. Boozer is the absolute opposite of that and won't improve our game at all, especially if you consider that we have a point guard, who can't shoot to save his life (Pick & Pop) and is an average playmaker at best.
