Re: OT: Questions about NBA League Pass Broadband
Yeah those are good...I'm not wild about T Dot, GS or Ind though, esp not GS. Are you getting LP Broadband Mace?
I'm thinking definitely these 6:
Phoenix
Orlando
Cleveland
Boston
Chicago
Portland
And for my 7th either OKC, LAL, or LAC...could use some help on this last one
Pros/Cons
OKC young team, could do some damage, fun to watch Durant/Westbrook but how good will they actually be
LAL I hate hate hate the lakers but seriously Kobe Ron Ron, Gasol, Bynum..some crazy games - the downside being I hate them and they may have lots of natl TV games anyway
LAC Griffin for rookie of the year? downside they could be terrible, plus will they as a whole be fun to watch?
Advice?

Re: OT: Questions about NBA League Pass Broadband
Im thinking of getting it...though with streaming online I'm not sure if it's worth it. I don't have enough time to watch multiple games every night anyway, and when I do get round to watching them I can usually download them quick anyway.
Think I missed about 5 games last year...and went to 9....ooooh baby
Only going to 2 this season....sigh

Good call. The nice thing about League Pass Broadband this year is that they're keeping the game archives up for the whole year, not just a couple of days like last year. The bad thing, of course, is that they raised the price. Last year, I paid $85 for every team. This year, it'll be $90 for just 7 teams. I don't particularly mind the 7 team thing, though, because last year, I found that I rarely watched non-Suns games anyway. I was very pleased with the video quality, by the way.

According to their FAQ, you can start selecting teams once you log in and open up the player. The cool thing is that you don't have to select all 7 at once. So if you're on the fence about a team, you can hold off and see if they look to be entertaining before making the commitment. There's NO WAY TO CHANGE once you've made a selection, though, so be careful. I'm probably going to start out with:
PHX (duh)
CLE
NYK
OKC
GSW
And wait to see how the season is shaping up before making any other commitments. I want a couple more East teams in the mix, because I'm on the East Coast, and the game times are a lot more convenient for me. But most of the East is pretty crappy, and I'm not sold on Orlando yet, so I'll see what shakes out.

Now that Griffin's hurt, I'd definitely disregard the Clips. The Lakers are on national TV all the time, so if you pick them, you're only getting like 50 games, plus it's not like it's hard to see a Lakers game. I recommend OKC because they're *never* on national TV, and even though they suck, they have a bunch of young athletes that are fun to watch.

Re: OT: Questions about NBA League Pass Broadband
I ordered League Pass this year and the reception has sucked so far this year. Blurry and blanking out all the time on Comcast. I have real trouble activating the Broadband online. Live in Chicago. Anyone else having these problems?
P.S. another NBA tech problem. Anyone got the NBA gametime app on iPhone? Radio broadcasts sucked, some away broadcasts wouldn't work and blacked out and kept going back to 10 seconds earlier.

I don't know about the US but up here it's common to have both WGN and KTLA included in cable packages, so right there you're getting a lot of Bulls and Clips games - just something to keep in mind
Does peachtree carry Hawks games?

Yeah good points. I ended up going with:
PHX
CLE
CHI
ORL
BOS
POR
OKC

Nice choices Miklo. OKC is a good choice since they aren't shown on Nat TV very often and it would be a shame to not watch the growth of Durant, Westbrook, Green, Harden and the team in general while they are still in their "infancy."

Here is some 'Forbidden Fruit' from the land of the free
http://phxsuns.net/showthread.php?t=1674
much what has been said, but a couple other 'viewing' options to consider, and a generally 'open' discussion w/o jackbootsmanship censoring. (sorry MODs.... just my personal policy beef)

I wonder why My45 doesn't have a stream online? It would boos their ad rate, no?
