CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Cleveland Cavaliers player Delonte West and his wife reportedly got into a spat Saturday evening that ended with West's wife filing a domestic violence report.

The two reportedly fought at their apartment when Delonte tried to take her wedding ring off. Mrs. West left their home and headed to Cleveland Hopkin's International Airport, where she filed a domestic violence report.

Cleveland Police tell 19 Action News there were no signs of abuse or injury. Mrs. West then got on her flight and flew out of Cleveland.

Tad Carper, Vice President of Communciatons with the Cleveland Cavaliers tells 19 Action News "the team was contacted and is aware of the situation but declined any further comment."

West was arrested in September for carrying three loaded guns while riding his motorcycle. Police pulled him over and found one gun strapped to each leg and the other in a guitar case strapped to his back.

Damn... And I was considering picking Delonte up in fantasy, now I know why he got his ass dropped.

Hopefully the dude can pull things together again, he's one of the few Cavs players I could dig.

From what I understand, Delonte has been having martial issues for the last month which isn't exactly helpful when combined with mental issues that he takes medication for. I guess we all know why he's been in and out of training camp with personal issues. I really like Delonte's intensity he plays on the Basketball floor...I hope he can get it together and get back onto the court for the CAVs soon.

this one isn't on Delonte, this one sounds like your typical "female and their screwy hormones ruining everybody's lives" kinda situation

Hopefully nothing serious. We need Brother Red back on the court.

From personal experience, mental health issues quickly become marital issues when the spouse doesn't understand or care to be involved any more. West is in for a lot of suffering. This is just the start of it.

From where I sit I can't blame her for screwy hormones when his behavior the night of the current incident that threatens his career was beyond bizarre. Even now Delonte's probably not even fully aware of his range of emotions. He's in a scary situation that threatens all his relationships and his life.

My fear is that if his wife had been his support system, having his marriage deteriorate can send West reeling to further depression/instability. If he has any, losing his kids could REALLY hurt. (On the other hand, if she's not the supportive type he'll eventually be much better without a critical, unhappy wife.)

Hearing about West and knowing how hard life can be for him I just pray he gets through it alright.

I think that's more of a DC hood mentality, just everyone doesn't have the loot to carry like that. He's not a make or break player to this team. He's replaceable, so I hope the Cavs continue from this moment on assuming they cannot depend on him and look at replacing him. Uncertainty and instability is not what the Cavs need right now.
much respect to the 2011-2012 champions, Miami Heat, well deserved
