What is the most suprising to you in the first six weeks?
Thoughts?
Three things to me:
1. The complete domination of the Patriots
2. The Packers being 5-1
3. The emergence of the Cleveland Browns Offense and Derek Anderson

1. How much better Tom Brady looks with a set of legitimate receivers
2. How mediocre the rest of the NFL is after the Big 2
3. How right FO projections are so far

The Redskins defense. According to the mediots, were supposed to suck because we drafted a safety over a defensive end. We had no pass rush.
too bad our offense cant get out of the teens

- The Browns under Anderson.
I remember when I saw the first outburst I thought Brady Quinn was in.
- How pathetic the NFC really is.
Cowboys are the elite in the NFC and dont look like they belong on the same field as the Pats.
- Winless Rams.
Preseason favorite to go to Superbowl.

Has the wrong defensive system and the wrong QB at the same time.

Dallas had all momentum of that game and would have won if it wasn't for penalties. The worst one being when they were up by 3 and that PI call in the end zone, where it was actually O PI if anything, and the other main one being the Marion Barber gain on 4th & 1, only to be forced to punt after a holding call. No excuse for penalties, but saying Dallas look like they don't belong on the same field as the Pats is a stretch. Pats are clearly the better team though. Better match up in the Super Bowl, hopefully that time we'll be healthy and ready to go with Glenn, Henry, and Tank.

Well and our 3rd CB was Nate freakin Jones. He is completely horrible. If Henry is there we would have had a great chance even with the bogus officiating (oops i mean justified flags).

^^the only bad call was the pass interference they gave moss, that killed our momentum, then we were cooked once kosier got that holding penalty. and if we had any chance to come back it ended after wade decided stupidly to kick a field goal.
i dont remember kosier ever getting 2 penalties in a game, normally you dont hear his name called at all.

Dallas fans are hilarious. You got beat bad, real bad, in Dallas. The Pats toyed around with you just like they did with the Bengals, and when they decided it was time to bury you they did, effiecently and well.
One thing I have noticed. Even when the games are out of reach, the starters are still out there, and they rub it in. Im amused by it, but if they did it aginst Denver I would be damn pissed.
For all the excuses about your injured players, lets take into account 2 things. New England rocked you with there third string runningback, they still missed arguably the best defensive end in the game when healthy in Richard Seymour.
You guys, are not close and do not belong on the same field as these guys.

3 positive surprises:
1. Derek Anderson and the Browns OL. Eric Steinbach and Joe Thomas are on their way to becoming the next Hutch/Jones.
2. The Titans, Bucs, Ethnic Slurs, Giants and Cardinals defenses all playing playoff-caliber football. I thought the Cards and Skins might do it, but I never saw the G-Men or Titans playing so well with their limited secondaries
3. Adrian Peterson being a dominant rookie despite the complete absence of any sembleance of a passing game
3 negatives surprised:
1. The Rams. It's not all injuries either, unfortunately.
2. The rapid decline of the Bears defense and OL
3. The AFC East. I knew the Dolphins were going to be awful and I suspected a Jets regression, but for 3 of the 5 worst teams to all be in the same division is freaking pathetic. Actually the 5 worst teams in the league all play in 2 divisions: the AFC East and the NFC West (STL and SF). Kind of fluky.

Icness: If only the Browns still had LeCharles Bentley eh? That would be one hell of a line that the Browns would be working with.
Oh and regarding the Titans, if you have a chance, watch Cortland Finnegan. From what I've seen so far in the season, he's exceeded Pacman. He's playing phenomenal Man-coverage, and his zone-coverage is not too shabby either. He's a hell of a hard hitter too. Nick Harper is playing a lot better than anyone would have thought, or what we would have hoped. He makes one or two boneheaded plays a game, but so far, except in the Buccaneers game, it hasn't had a real consequence on our defensive play so far. Calvin Lowry is playing exactly like who we expected him to be. Jeff Fisher took way too long to get rid of Lamont Thompson and to start Lowry over him.
