I know you like your Knicks but dude that was a bad trade, you could've had another player in addition to Lee or something.

Fantasy Help, need a good manager.

Post#145 » by Scalabrine » Mon Oct 26, 2009 10:55 pm

Hey I made a fantasy league with some people I know and someone bailed at the last minute. The draft is set for tonight at 8 o clock, I need a good manager that will pay attention to it at least weakly. The league is part of ESPN, 8 cat all 5 positions a guard and a forward and 2 utilities, 3 bench and an IR slot.

First person interested get it.

Check out my team,
D. Williams, Terry, T. Parker, Millsap, duncan, B. Lopez, Okafor, Birdman, Bibby, Duhan, Felton, Samuel dalembert.

I also have a second team in another draft, i think my first draft was better, how ever depending on how 2 or 3 player do on this team, i think i can do major damage in H2H

D.williams, stojakovic, Arenas, C.Lee, T murphy, A. Randolph, Howard, bogut, mo williams, Oden, Warrick, Fylnn, Tyreke Evens, Antony parker.

I think my first team is really good, i have everything, but what do you guys think of the second team.
I think i im either gonna win it all or not, depending on Arenas, A. Randolph and Oden.
Plus i think fylnn and evens are gonna have a great rookie year

I can see this thread being hijacked already by everyone wanting opinions on their own team. Sorry OP, but I am part of the problem and not the solution.

I have never played fantasy basketball before (plenty experienced at football), so not so sure if my team is good.. I tried going with stat stuffers. 10 team league, H2H:

Deron Williams, Gilbert Arenas, Aaaron Brooks, Allen Iverson, Kirk Hinrich, Jeff Green, Wilson Chandler, Elton Brand, Zach Randolph, Louis Scola, Amare Stoudemire, Okafor, and Bogut.

I feel like I should dominate points, rebounds, and probably fair very well with assists, and blocks as well..no?

Well you did a bad job surrounding your top pick with similar talent , for example Williams is tops in assists and hes good at 3, points, and fg% for a pg, decent at steals and ft%. Noone else will get more then 5 assists on that team other then him, so hes being wasted right now. Id drop Hinrich and Brooks and try to get Duhon or another guy that can give you more assists.

Id say your best at scoring and rebounds and probably fg% you will win mostly.

heres my best team i think:
C:
Okur
Bargnani
Murphy
PF:
Dirk
Murphy
Milsap
Odom
Barnani
Kirlienko
SF:
Odom
Kirlienko
John Salmons
Mike Miller
SG:
Salmons
Mike Miller
PG:
Deron Williams
Jason Kidd
Mike Bibby
Russel Westbrook

This team is built to kill in 3s, FT%, assists, steals, and rebounds, I should win some weeks in scoring, and fg%, I throughout blocks because my first 3 picks were Dirk, Deron, and Kidd and none of them are strong shotblockers.

Thanks Scalabrine for the advice.. Like I said I'm new to fantasy, so I can't really give people advice. I'm hoping Arenas will make improvements in assists this season since reports are he will be more past first. Iverson, as my SG, should give me around 5 a game as well, which isn't bad. If things do not work out I will def. make a trade (Duhon is already on a team). I appreciate the advice, I never thought about making sure to surround my top pick with similar guys, it does make a lot of sense though.
