Who would win one-on-one in HORSE?

Bird: Nobody beats me in H-O-R-S-E. Besides, Magic cant shoot.

Magic: Larry, you'd have no chance against me one-on-one. I've got too many ways to beat you. Plus, as slow as I am, I'm still faster than you.

I loved our new additions.

I thought Sheed was great - despite being a touch overweight. His length alone brings trouble for terms on defense. He is clearly a good bit taller then Perkins. So with Perkins and Sheed or Sheed and KG its tough on teams when they get inside.

If that wasn't enough as the annoucers point out - Shaq and Big Z get exposed on rotations with him out there.

M. Daniels was outstanding as well. He has Ricky Davis like abilities - but without the streetball stupidity thrown in (and a slightly inferior jumper). He moves well (like Davis did) he has an excellent handle for his size and he makes smart decisions. He should be commanding twice what he is, IMHO. And although he can't shoot well guys at least run up and cover him.

Shelden Williams. Well my standard for this guy is low. He looks superior to POB and Mikki Moore. He is undersized but at least has some toughness. He will grab some boards and hustles on D. His offensive game is awful but he will play less when BBD gets back. Still for a fifth big man he isn't bad. I'd play him over Scalabrine in many situations simply for his defense and rebounding.

As for the rest of the team - same old same old..

Paul Pierce was great - when he needed to be. He does coast at times but its actually smart how he does that. And he still looks to be an excellent defender despite Lebron's 38. Yeah Lebron is that good.

Ray Allen - still a great jumpshooter when left open. However still a bit of disappointment at times with regards to ball handling and decision making. As many have commented before we expected someone of the Daniels/Pierce quality with regard to that but we didn't get it..

No one talks about re-upping him but like Rondo it isn't so clear..

Rondo. Still does some AWESOME things out there. His dribble penetration is the best in the league. His push is the best in the league. Some great on the ball defense. And he can sometimes go off and out quick guys to the basket. OTOH is still a bad jumpshooter and a terrible 'go to" guy who gets in 'scared to shoot' mode and screws up the offense. One of the most shockingly obvious flawed but still good players in the league. Perhaps the most so since Ben Wallace..

Perk was a little underwhelming - but not awful.

And House will benefit from the improved bench. Finally he gets to play with some more talent.

I noticed Rondo's 4 second shots too from 18 feet... but at the same time. Those are the 'next step' shots for him. If he is going to be left wide open he has to show he can hit those in order to progress. Same thing with Perk's 10 foot shots.

Those two guys are trying to close the let's double the BIG 3 and win strategy.

Hopefully Rondo is like Big Baby and although sucks at shooting for 75% of the year can come on and bring it into teh playoffs.

For what it's worth though for some reason I have 500x more confidence in Perkins making his shats then Rondo. Hopefully both add that to their game.

I didn't notice Wallace's weight, he's a vet though and if he is overweight he'll play himself into shape. I did notice the amazing defense by Perk on Shaq and Ray being a disappointment. Bad decisions and missing open jumpers.

I was dissapointed in Pierce untill the end. He gave the game what it needed.

I wouldn't be so down on Rondo's jumpers. He was 1/3 on them last night.

His jumper (form) looks about 20x better then last year too.

Awesome win last night. I thought Cavs played very physical and tough game but it seems to not bother the C's at all.
