Warning! Cheating in Yahoo Fantasy League

Post#1 » by Monkeyfeng06 » Mon Oct 15, 2007 1:38 am

I just caught one of the guys in my money league cheating! he changed the lineup even though the game was finished. he changed his starting lineup from cedric benson to lendale white. i caught him. i emailed him about it and he told me this:

just moving them around according to who has better points... i know the cheat code. keep that between us

this is just crazy. from now on, i'm taking pictures of the screen of the lineup from now on just to be sure.

hope you guys won't run into situations like this. this is just crazy! and infuriating... :banghead:

He altered a set lineup AFTER play had begun? How is that even possible?

He must be a nerdy computer hacker because this isn't a video game where you put in a cheat code in a special box.

Interesting because I never pay attention to my opponents lineup before and after the ratings are over. I set my lineups at 12 AM every Sunday and check them the next day I wake up.

it sounds impossible but i saw it with my own eyes. it was **** ridiculous. it's probably a bug not a hack or anything but a seriously flawed bug in the yahoo fantasy league.

^

Can you email yahoo about it or talk to the Commish?

I'd continue to email the guy and to find out more details.

I think I had something similar happen once, though not through yahoo. This was also in a money league and it was for the championship, where one of his RB's we found out to be inactive a few minutes before his game at noon. I told my dad to call right away to get the other person's team but he didn't, and when he called a few hours later the guy dropped the inactive back for Frank Gore, who came within 20 yards of beating us for the fantasy championship. The guy is also the co-commish and a shady character.

Am I right to understand that you essentially have him admitting to what he's done? I'd forward it to the commish and everyone in the league.
Naz Reid.
