Ronnie Brewer vs. Brandon Jennings?
Both were just put on waivers in my league. Brewer's the vet but Jennings was just named Milwaukee's starter. Who should I pick up?

Re: Ronnie Brewer vs. Brandon Jennings?
Depends what the rest of your team is like. If you're picking between those 2 I assume you're looking for steals.
If you need FG% & low turnovers but can sacrifice points & FT% then Brewer's your man.
On the other hand, if you can sacrifice some FG% & turnovers but need assists and extra scoring I'd go for Jennings.
From an overall outlook I really like Jennings. I think if he can learn to play controlled ball he may be a darkhorse fantasy ROY this year. I could really see him putting up 15/6 w/ 2 steals a game (though 40-42% FG%, less than a 3, and nearing 3 turnovers).

Re: Ronnie Brewer vs. Brandon Jennings?
Here's my squad:
1. (4) Dwyane Wade
2. (21) Brook Lopez
3. (28) Jason Kidd
4. (45) Andrea Bargnani
5. (52) Andrew Bynum
6. (69) Jeff Green
7. (76) Jason Terry
8. (93) D.J. Augustin
9. (100) Tyrus Thomas
10. (117) Rodney Stuckey
11. (124) Roy Hibbert
12. (141) Anthony Morrow
13. (148) Brandan Rush
Thing is, I'm not hurting for steals OR assists, but I think both Jennings and Brewer are too good to leave on the wire. I could eventually package either in a trade if they get their value up. The thought is to drop Rush, who doesn't offer much aside from Pts and 3's - but maybe he's the best fit for my team of the three? I don't know.

Re: Ronnie Brewer vs. Brandon Jennings?
Rush actually put up pretty good stats across this board last year when he started and during the preseason this year. If I remember right (and I should since he's 1 of the guys I was watching for my drafts) he averaged over 1 block & 1 steal during the preseason. That after .7 steals & .8 blocks over the 19 games he started last year. It's unlikely he'd have this same exact statline but his numbers as a starter last year (and a rookie no less) were pretty damn good:
15.9/5.4/1.2 on 47%/76% (only 1.3 FTAs though), 2 3s, .7 steals, .8 blocks, and only 1.2 turnovers.
From the looks of your roster you're probably going to be weak on rebounds (with only 3 true bigs--one of whom doesn't rebound well--in your starting lineup) so I'd stick with Rush and he's likely to average 50% more boards than either Jennings or Brewer and could be a huge sleeper this year.
Rush is probably the guy I'm going to pickup if Stephon Curry doesn't work out (my 4 bench guys right now in my competitive 10-team roto league are Curry, Morrow, Augustin, & 1 of Bogut or Kaman--haven't decided which to play major minutes yet)

Re: Ronnie Brewer vs. Brandon Jennings?
Thanks for the thorough break down.
I'm starting to come around on Rush (after having been low on him, then high, then low again). I didn't think I was weak on rebounds with Bynum, Lopez, Tyrus, Wade and Kidd rebounding out of the guard spots, and whatever I get from Hibbert, but I also didn't realize that Brewer only gets 3-4 rebounds a game. That's odd, for such a long athletic guy. Maybe I'll just hang on to Rush. I don't need the steals, like I said, and I think I'm on the cusp of being a good 3 point shooting team - depending in large part on how well Morrow does.
You've convinced me. I'm hanging on to Rush.
