You have to draw the line somewhere. Like I said before you can't let Rondo impact your chance to have a third scorer. I think Ray Allen is on the downside and we will need to replace him. If you pay Rondo too much you can only sign a low quality scorer and I don't think that would be enough to win a championship.

I think it has more to do with ability to penetrate and actually get the ball to a guy in a scoring position than it is about Lebron. The guy only averaged 6 assists with the Bucks as well. If he had actual PG skills he would get 6 assists with Lebron alone.

I think your being ridiculous. Mo isn't the same kind of player Rondo is - but he is pretty good as well. He is first and foremost a shooter and always has been. The "plan" of the Cavs for the last several years was to surround Lebron with "shooters" and let Lebron do the playmaking.

Now recently the media has come along and collectively decided this was a pretty stupid idea. They of course were late to that party. But that doesn't change the fact that Mo Williams is actually pretty good in that role. On the Celtics he would be an excellent player - kinda a better version of Eddie House.

He is never going to be a better version of Brevin Knight like Rondo is. So yeah Mo Williams isn't a premiere drive and dish guy. But he was never supposed to be that guy. If you look at the backups its the same thing.

Daniel Gibson - shooter. Delonte West - shooter. Big Z - shooter. Back in years past they even tried to bring in guys like Wally to add more to their shooting. Now evidently they decided they needed another big slow guy in the middle - to clog the lane for Lebron...

Stupid - inept management on the part of the Cavs. But its hardly Mo Williams fault..

You mean Mo "All-Star because me and the Cavs whined and bitched about it like little girls" Williams?

The only star (non pg) with less assisted baskets than Lebron (34%) is probably Wade (27%) if you score off the dribble you don't generate assists for your teammates. Everyone has to fit their roster LeBron needs a pg who can catch and shoot at the 3 pt line.

Of course Mo Williams isn't a drive and dish pg and if Rondo had to catch and shoot 3's he would be out of the league. Role players have to fill roles.

If Rondo was in Kenny Anderson's role with OB's C's He would have been Milt Palacio. Antoine pounding the rock and him and Paul scoring off the dribble and everyone else chucking 3's.
