Game Thread: Hornets at Spurs | Wed 8:00 PM

Post#1 » by Nolan » Wed Oct 28, 2009 2:39 am

Starting Lineups:

Spurs:
PG Parker
SG Mason
SF Jefferson
PF McDyess
C Duncan

Hornets:
PG Paul
SG Peterson
SF Wright
PF West
C Okafor

Its the season opener and our home opener and it should be a great game. We're going to see how each teams big offseason acquisitions are going to fit in. Ours being Jefferson and the Hornets being Okafor. The key to the game for us is going to be containing Paul and keeping him out of the paint. We also need to get too the bucket and get West and Okafor in foul trouble because they really don't have anyone behind them.

This is the most exicted i've been for a season opener in a while. Everyone's healthy, and I can't wait to see what the new guys bring to the table!

GO SPURS!!

He is, toe problem but he's expected to play even if it is just in limited minutes.

Interesting fact, New Orleans has lost 3 straight and 9 of the last 10 in San Antonio.

Bonner got the start tonight, I like the move Dyce coming off the bench just makes our bench stronger and Bonner is a good fit in the starting lineup. Finely started tonight too over Mason.

We're a little cold to start the game but we'll turn it around.

Wow did you see Georgie's finger role. He could have taken the corner 3 but drove it to the basket. Boy to the spurs look good. Blair already has like 3 rebounds in 3 mins with a put back. Manu looks strong.

God you gotta love pop bi.ching finley out because he blew an assignment when they are up 16pts in the 2nd quarter. Wow blair has 6 rebs and 6 points. He look terrible on pick and rolls and picked up 3 bad fouls but the guy always seems to be around the basketball. I love seeing RJ driving to the hoop he is the key to making it all work.

Half time 57-39 spurs. Wow is manu awesome. The guy leads the team with 10pts and tells the reporter he really wasnt looking to score much today just had open shots. This is a contract year and you can tell he is all about team first. How many other superstars on a contract year would be ok just helping the team win and come off the bench. I hope he looks good most of the year and RC locks him up before the playoffs. That way he doesn't have to worry about money at all and consentrate only on getting us another ring.

Talk about some offensive fire power. NO won 49 games last year and we have made them look like a D league team. If not for Paul's hot hand this thing would be out of control.

Good start to the season. The bench was awesome tonight; Manu was amazing, Blair was an absolute beast, Dyce looked good and so did Hill. Solid win over a team in our divsion.

Nice call to the Southern Dandy as well. I believe you picked the starters a few days ago!

Good so see that we had a comfortable win with our starters playing so few minutes, means we should *fingers crossed* be really fresh come playoff time should this kind of production continue.

I love CP3, but if it takes Matt Bonner and 3 2nd round picks, I'll pass.

Everyone played really well. We got plenty of rest. Bonner looke pretty good out there knocking down those 3's. Spurs spread the defense out very nicely. Tonight will be 2-0.
