Good Lord, Man up People
Reach down and grab a handful, if you have them. Good god, what a lot of rubbish. SO the Bobcats lost their first game. They are 0-1. Who the crap cares? It was against the 2nd best team in the league. It's a loss. Deal. Next game will be a win. Then we are back at .500. What is this crap about sky falling? My god, have you ever been through an 82 game season? Are people going to suicide after a 3 game losing streak?

Nice overreaction to people just coming to terms with how bad the Bobcats are.

Re: Good Lord, Man up People
I for one have been preaching about our team's mediocrity and talent deficiency since the middle of last season. So I didnt just experience an abrupt epiphany last night. Although I think there were some overly optimistic people who were still holding out hope for a playoff debut that did.
It wasnt the loss itself that was so shocking: a double digit loss against the Celtics was to be expected (at least by anyone objective). Rather it was the magnitude of Charlotte's ineptitude that was so embarassing.
It was actually historically bad in the literal sense: the lowest offensive output of any NBA team in their opening game since the advent of the shot clock.

Bobcats have been terrible for their entire existence, I'm not exactly sure how people can even have expectations high enough to ever be disappointed.

We hope, have faith, and then like to get our dreams crushed at the end. But hey, we were there until the last couple weeks last year!

Yes it was only 1 game and 1 loss. But it was 1 HORRIBLE game and 1 HORRIBLE loss.
They aren't that bad, but that wasn't a good sign.

Yea, to echo what others have written. Last night was a shock. Not because of the loss, I'm used to that. Losing to the Celtics in Boston isn't unexpected. What is awful is that this is supposed to be the most talent we've ever assembled and we have a hall of fame coach... and we set a franchise low for points scored, which also happened to be the worst performance by a team on their opening night.
I cannot imagine things getting worse, so there is a silver lining.

I can't even begin to think what might happen if we lose on Friday to the lowly Knicks. Based on the views around here, we might as well start the draft war room on Saturday.
Talk to me after 10 games.

What about if we lose to the Knicks while scoring 60 points?

The bus scheduled to take the Bobcats to the airport wouldn't start, forcing the team to wait an additional 45 minutes before they could leave the TD Garden and put some distance between themselves and their opening-night flop.
"We deserved that," coach Larry Brown said Thursday afternoon. "That was God punishing us."

Re: Good Lord, Man up People
speaking of LBs comments, he mad a comment about having players who were terrified before the game. ray and wallace also alluded to that.
any guesses as to who they were talking about?
it would be expected for henderson and brown to be terrified before their first pro game, at boston, vs that team... so it doesnt seem fair to get on them. that makes me think it was some other players? diaw? chandler? dj? graham?

DJ looked scared for some reason, but maybe that's just his gameface. Graham played like a bad rookie, taking poor shots, and generally looking lost. Diaw wasn't confident, but I wouldn't call him scared. Chandler? No, just still getting into shape.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

I bet it was DJ. He was probably scared of what Boston was going to do to him after he called them a bunch of punks last year.

This thread is an embarrassment. If there is no accountability of the players from this fan base, we will NEVER win.

You just came off a three day suspension. Not sure trolling other teams boards is the best thing for you to do?
Maybe you should head back to the Raps board.
