TJ Ford's the worst player on your team? I wouldn't make snap judgments about his performance last night, he'll be good.

But if he is your worst player, yeah, drop him for Brooks. Dude's gonna get all the shots he wants in Houston, to go along with 3's, stls and assists. He's less of an injury risk than Ford, too.

I really like Aaron Brooks to step up this season with Yao Ming gone. I'd expect about 1.5 3s, 15 ppg, 7 apg, 1.5 spg

Randolph went last pick of the 4th round in my 10 team league. I think it was too early, but he's been going 4th-7th round. I doubt he's your 2nd worst player.

I would pick up Brooks for TJ for many reasons but this one specifically... you already know what TJ's Ford ceiling is and if anything his #'s are going to start declining. Brooks has just arrived on the scene and he is improving year over year. I dropped Blake Griffin for Brooks this week and have been very happy with the move so far. AsheyLarry was right about him getting all the shots he wants in Houston this year. That roster sucks and he is honestly probably the best scorer on the team as this point. Ariza is going to score but not as consistently as Brooks. TJ's other real weakness (outside of being VERY injury prone) is that he doesn't shoot 3's. I think Brooks will easily hit 150+ 3's this year. That's hard to find on the wire unless that's all the player does. Pick him up! He's going to get close to 40 minutes this year. You better not wait too long.

If Houston struggles sometimes in the future, Brooks will be given the greenlights to chuck every shot in the game, resulting in monstrous stat lines. His ability to score is unquestionable.

I would definitely do it. That will really round out your 3pt shooting nicely. You should be pretty hard to beat I think. I think Brooks is going to have a MUCH better year than Ford. Stop dilly dallying and go pick him up. It's not like there is a major risk involved man. You are talking about a 3rd tier PG in either case.

You know Brooks will see many touches on the Rockets, and that he shoot, penetrate, steal the ball, and (judging from 2 games so far), make passes that lead to baskets. Ford can get you 5-6 assists, a steal, with good FG%, but that's pretty much his ceiling, and then there's the fact that he's injury prone. Brooks is full of potential. His worst case scenario is that he only manages around 4 assists and shoots in the low 40s. But I can easily see him becoming a perfect PG for the PG/PF system.
