Positive? Negative?

What do you think? And how do you think they should react?

If it's anything less than a standing ovation, they should all hand in their Packer cards.

As a Packer fan I really wish I was going to this game. I would cheer for my team, and I would boo anybody on the Vikings, especially Favre. But just cause I would boo him does not take away from any appreciation I have for what he did for us while he was playing for the pack.

Please, the flip-flopping drama queen, attention whore forced his way out and then got the Jets to release him so he could go to a rival.

I hope the entire stadium boos his hick ass.

All true, and he annoys the **** out of me now, but he's not MY QB, he's yours. You cheer someone who has done that much for you. You don't boo him because of a few rocky months and going to other teams when he was way past his prime and your team happily moved on anyway.

You boo because he acted like a spoiled little bitch. Maybe you cheer if he's not playing for one of your biggest rivals, but he got released, then retired, then changed his mind for the 573rd time to go play for a hated rival. He'll deserve every single boo he gets.

You dont cheer for a guy who goes to play for a rival, especially the way he went about it. I'm a Packers fan, not a Favre fan. If it comes down to player who's not playing for my team vs my team, who the hell do you think and who the hell do you expect us to root for?

I'm neutral on this (Steelers fan), but, yeah, you boo the hell out of him. I could see the argument the other way regarding this being about Ted Thompson and Favre feeling forced out, though I never totally bought it. The comments about how he's never played with a better team put it over the top for me. If you don't respect your own history and your own iconic place in franchise lore, then the fans don't owe you a damn thing. Green Bay fans are free to be magnanimous, but by NO means should it be expected.

Sorry, didn't know we had any 50+ year old fans on here.

For fans under 50, Favre = Packers.

But it's not true. It WAS true 3 years ago, but Favre has made a point of disassociating himself from the Packers.

You're not a true Packers fan if you go to that game and give him a standing ovation tomorrow. Also, Favre = Packers just might be the most unintentionally hilarious thing I've ever read on here and that's saying a lot, since I've ventured over to the Knicks board plenty of times.

Well if that's the case:

Packers fans who carry this stupid grudge against Favre makes no sense to me. He defined your franchise for a generation, and the retired. Decided to come back, and the Packers said, no thanks, we have our QB now, so Favre went somewhere else.

What is the big deal? If Rodgers is your guy why do so many Packer fans harbor this hate for Favre? What is the guy supposed to do he still wanted to play.

9/10 Packer fans I talk to say Rodgers is a better QB right now, so why should it even matter to you what Brett does in Minnesota, if you have the better guy, you guys should come out on top, right?

Bulls fans didn't seem to have a problem with Michael Jordan coming out of retirement, even when he played in Washington.

Some Packer fans are just being really childish on this issue.

He went to a division rival to stick it in the franchise's face. Packers fans were more than willing to be gracious to Favre when he retired, he decided to not return the favor.

I'd be pissed, too.
