Aren't they? They're not even making an effort to defend well in the perimeter.

I wouldn't call it self destructing as much as I would call it sucking.

I dont see how thats sucking I mean Cleveland trashes teams in that building theres not that much you can do when there shooting the lights out like that.
I expected us to get totally trashed like vs Boston so by that rod theres improvement.
Gerald Henderson is really something special even Clevelands homer anouncers were impressed I loved that move on West just has to finish those its only been 3 games but I'm sold!
We really played a decent game kinda got stagnant for awhile in the third but to say we sucked would mean you expected us to win Cleveland which with our history against them is insane!

I see Felton had a turnover for every million he was wanting the Bobcats to pay him per season.
The "lets pass on Brook Lopez and draft Augustin and send our pick to get Ajinca" project continues to look depressing.

Something is wrong with this team. It looks like every single player has regressed. We have the worst offense in the entire league. This would have been the perfect opportunity to play Derick Brown and Frenchie. We were never going to win this one.

I think LB is going to play Graham the minutes we thought UPS would receive. His offensive game is no better than Brown's, but LB hates using rookies much. This demonstrates how bad Ajinca is. I have to believe the only reason they extended his contract another year was to hope they can include him in a trade.
We have no shooters. Bell, when he returns, is no great offensive threat, but he's better than Graham. Flip might be able to give us better 6th man help. But we are doomed to being a bricklaying team until we deal for a go-to scorer.
I'm also sick of the Diaw lovers here. Boris is a fantastic passing big man, but that's about all he excels at. He's a poor rebounder, below average shooter, an undersized defender at the 4, and not worty of being an NBA starter. His best role is 6th man on a quality team.
Having said all that, I thought the Cats played pretty well for 1 half. Felton and all the exhausted troops battled early but wore dow later (what a surprise). I guess this is LB boot camp for getting the team into playing shape ASAP.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Bassman, you know Diaw retreats into a shell as a 6th man, right? He did a fairly poor job of that in Atlanta AND in Phoenix. He only ever performed well as a starter. Maybe that was specific to the bad situation in Atlanta and the particulars of his role in Phoenix, but he hasn't played well as a 6th man on a consistent basis.
"Doomed" and "brick-laying" are words too strong to be accurate, but I think that since defense isn't generally Charlotte's problem, the offensive issues are. Wallace is a fine player, but he's no go-to scorer.
If Brown tries to build the Cats up the way the Pistons were built, then that'd be fine, but that takes a long while. Those guys were an ECF team before Brown got there under Carlisle. That takes a lot of work from the GM to bring guys in, and then several years of building something with the players there, and it is far rarer than the success enjoyed by teams that have one really good scorer and a couple of solid secondary options.
