Rondo and C. Paul....whats the beef over???

Post#1 » by bigal534 » Mon Nov 2, 2009 1:38 am

did anyone see CP go over to the bench after the game and start some sort of altercation? He and Rondo we jawing all game really, I obviously guess that it was over the comments Rondo supposedly said about him b4 the game, but I thought CP was overreacting cause he knows Rondo is creeping up on him in the National eye...

Rondo being jealous over the attention Paul gets is the start of all of this I'd imagine, unless someone's ex-girl got boned or something like that.

Rondo always stirring it up with anyone anywhere you guys know that.

But man as I watch the C's they look good, Pierce looks great, and Sheed has fit in perfectly, but man KG is pissing me off... He gets away with murder using his long arms pushing people wheverever he wants them to go all game long on offense and defense. Anyone else would foul out every game. If it was football it would be PI over and over again.

From watching the game closely during play and all they were showing in between whistles, Rondo was challenging Paul all night (personally), and for the most part I don't think Paul was into it as much.

Then with 5 seconds left when they were inbounding, Rondo was gettin in Pauls ear pretty good. CP took the inbound, and went down the other end towards the bench, where Rondo came back over and was lookin for some more ish after the buzzer.

So basically I get the impression Rondo really doesn't like Chris Paul at all, and Paul is just more like wtf is your problem...which is cool with me, I'm not the biggest fan of Cp's antics anyway.

annnd Doc is kinda pissed and really doesn't want to talk about CP/Rondo after the game, lol

Good. Rondo shouldn't back down from CP3. CP3 has played his worst against Rondo these past three years.

From the Wiretap...

Hornets point guard Chris Paul had to be held back after Sunday's loss to the Celtics when he tried to enter Boston's locker room.

Paul and Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo both received technical fouls after exchanging words in the second quarter.

Boston won 97-87, while Paul posted 22 points and eight assists.

I always thought that Chris Paul was a whiner. Also, as talented as he is, I find him one of the most annoying players to watch. Dribble full speed, run into bigger player, jack up shot, get to free-throw line, repeat repeat repeat. Annoying.

I didn't catch the end of this game, but I'm glad Rondo was jawing at him all game. Like Captain Green said, it's good to get into the other team's head.

Really? A Lakers fan coming over here complaining about refs and how much KG gets called in his favor? lol. Gimme a break. And this is beside the point, but out of all the NBA stars, I think KG complains less than any other star about calls. You always see Duncan, Kobe, LeBron, CP3, Wade, etc yelling and moaning and throwing a fit at officials. KG doesn't argue EVERY call like other stars do.

I actually like Rondo being the agitator, weren't Doc and Danny the ones that used to say that they wanted those type of guys on the team??? Perk seems to be hated on too (see Bobcats), I love our agitators! Why should Rondo and Paul get along with each other, they are competing for the same things! but like Doc said at the conference once the whistle blows it should be over, so Paul shouldn't be trying to enter opposing lockers!

I would loved to have seen what would've happened had Paul made it to the Celtics locker room. What would be his plan next? Start a fight with Rondo, and his 11 other teammates? I mean, really, what would a player do if they ever made it to the opponent's locker room?

I think its more of a "hold me back (so i can look like i'm goin to get u, but i need u to hold me back so i dont get into trouble)" type of thing. Just doin it for the street cred or something stupid like that. I can't wait til we play Nawlins again.

Well can't fault Rondo for giving it to the other guy. That's a way to channel his personality. It works fine for me..

All of these guys have big egos. Paul got his challenged tonight and he didn't like the end result. I don't know what Rondo said to him in those last 10 seconds but it must've been good.

Watching Garnett play defense is a joy. Anybody who loves to play basketball could not help but enjoy watching a 7 footer move his feet like KG can.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."
