Man, I hope I look as young as Rambis at 50 something!

that will help his 31% shooting for his first two games.

Re: Game 3: Wolves @ Phoenix (Tonight)
1. Can we combine the Vikings' first three quarters and the Wolves' fourth quarter?
2. Is Hollins the best athlete in Wolves history sans Garnett?
3. Jefferson had about the quietest 21/8 game I've seen (of course, I missed most of the 1st half)
4. 15 rebounds for Gomes????? That doesn't even sound right.
5. Flynn put up better numbers than Sessions in 13 less minutes.
6. Glad Gomes got out of his shooting slump. Clearly, SF is his position.
7. Overall, I'm happy with this game. The Suns are a pretty good team, and we kept it respectable.

I missed the game but after looking at the box score this morning, the most pleasantly surprising number for me was the 4 assists from Big Al. I guess the second most pleasantly surprising thing was the 23/15 from Gomes. You two get gold stars today.

Can we please stop calling Brewer a "great" defender now? He's a solid, scrappy off-ball defender. That's it. He's just terrible at staying in front of his man.

Brewer is gonna look great once we can upgrade the other swing spot next to him. Right now he's having to do too much, but I can envision him looking very nice next to another guy that can draw some attention. Imagine him next to Trevor Ariza circa these past 3 games, that'd be a really nice combo. Man I wish we had Ariza, what a steal for the MLE. Even though he's going to come back to Earth, total steal.

Re: Game 3: Wolves @ Phoenix (Tonight)
First, I am a pretty big fan of Brewer, so take the following with a grain of salt.
Brewer has been the best player on the Wolves team so far this season. He is extremely active, taking good shots (for the most part), and playing a solid team game. He has been by far the most impressive given the (lack of) actual expected contributions at this point in the year.
I know Jefferson will be the big dog (still has to pass more and not force shots) and Flynn has been solid (still hate the pull up, fade away 15 plus footer he tosses up there and some of the turnovers), but Brewer just gets it and has been very fun to watch.
Also, Hollins has been more impressive to me on offense than defense. Maybe that is due to expectations on both ends, but still, he is scoring when I don't think he will and he is slower of foot and not as big a factor on defense as I thought he would be. Still, quite happy with him on the team.
Quick note on Gomes, you think having him at SF and not PF for more of the game helped a bit? His numbers sure would seem to support that idea.

I'd say that that was the biggest factor.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

I'm surprised noone else has mentioned this. Kahn something like - "not in a million years did I think he'd (Rubio) fall to us", "when you are drafting at 5 or 6, you take players that have a chance to be great, not role players", "now at 18 we take James Johnson because he has a chance to be a top 5 player in this draft or we trade it for a 2010 draft pick".
Anyone know if it was fact that we had a James Johnson + Jonny Flynn for Tyreke Evans trade in place? Kahn might've edited the draft footage to make it seem like we wanted Johnson as to not hurt Flynn's feelings.

Did nobody see the draftroom footage special that they showed at halftime last night? Surprised it hasn't been more of a talker today. I'd like to see it again if somebody has footage for it.

Re: Game 3: Wolves @ Phoenix (Tonight)
I see the ticker says Rambis likes Sessions. Hope he starts for you guys soon. It's only a matter of time til he gets a total grasp of the offense and team.
Rambis is going to be a solid coach. I think you've got something in Minnesota.
