Collins is a nice safe pick up. He is a solid vet, he wont hurt your team. His game isnt going to jump out at anybody, but think of it, just adding him right now, an un-athletic, and no frills as he is, he is instantly the best post defender on the team..... thats sad.....I LOVE IT!!!!!

I think he is more athletic than most peole want to give him credit for. He has only played in Utah's slow down deliberate style, so he has not been able to show his athleticism, but I think people will be surprised at the mobility he has at his size, I'm not saying he is super-athletic, but he is not a stiff either.

It's both sad and scary to think that a player dropped from a team and on a minimum salary could waltz in and be our best post defender.

Im looking fwd. to seeing him play, i remember him in Utah, and i thought he was solid, not standout, but not a weak link either. He will be better that Lopez right now.... so it cant hurt.

The missing piece to a puzzle isn't always the best piece of the puzzle. How many times have you heard superstars say that they wouldn't have been able to be the superstar they are if it wasn't for the role players on their team. How many times have mediocre players come here and had fantastic if not career years?? He may be a waived player on a minimum salary, but this may be the ideal situation for him to break out......

just type "forward". it's 3 more keys to hit and it doesn't make me read your sentences all weird. just saying cause i've noticed you use "fwd." a few times now.

Re: Big Men we've discussed - watched the MEM/TO game last night and while that's a small sample, Haddadi is a stiff. Sulky, no effort - not exactly how you want to play if you're looking to get more time or interest another time in acquiring you.
As I say, only one game but geez, no thanks

on the other hand - Bucks are not picking up JAlexander's option at $2.7m. I don;t see how a guy with that level of athletic ability and that work ethic, plus size and speed, could be a bad player to grab.
Not for us at our lux level but really - just letting him walk? Maybe a sign and trade with our bench ballast?

I've always thought Alexander could turn into a very poor man's Marion. He has basically the same physical talents as Trix just not the skills yet. His leaping ability, speed and quickness rivals that of Trix, it just seems everything else he does is not up to NBA standards yet.

He has the physical attributes but he really needs to learn the fundamentals. I wouldn't mind picking him up with the minimum and assigning him major minutes in the D league.

Someone is going to grab him as a project - smart, big, strong, agile, great hops. Good combo
