Phoenix Stan wrote:Phoenix Suns guard Leandro Barbosa re-injured his right wrist during the Suns win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. He initially hurt the wrist while leading his Brazilian National Team to a gold medal in the FIBA Americas Championship tournament this summer.

After the game Leandro said this about the injury, "It's bad man. They told me I have a cyst on the wrist so it's been tough for me to catch the ball and I got hit in the game so I don't know what's going to happen."

The speedy Brazilian guard only had 6 points in 14 minutes of play in Sunday's game. He was visibly pained by the swollen right wrist.

No wonder Nash played so much, we need the depth on this next road trip. Hopefully he can play a few minutes.

Could be a blessing in disguise. Our 2nd unit would now be asked to contribute more off the bench. More minutes and bigger role for Studley and Dragic.

Hope he comes back soon.

Damn, I hope he gets better soon but I have a feeling we'll miss him during the 5 game road trip.

Surgery isn't necessary though which is good news. All their giving him are some anti-inflammatory drugs. Just sounds like he needs to sit out for a little while. I think we'll be alright (I hope...). Dragic has plenty of experience playing the 2 with his national team and Dudley's due to start making some 3's

We'll be pretty damn similar to how we played in games one and two

Rotations the same as game one and two just put in J-rich for Barbosa

How come Azcentral hasn't reported anything about this yet? Not sure if the new is legit, I hope its not or not serious at least. We cannot really afford to lose a player like LB, especially for this upcoming road trip.

I think it's nice to have Nash and Dragic on at the same time. Dragic can learn a lot when they are on the court at the same time even though he'll be playing the SG.

to cope with the loss of Barbosa we'll have to play Dragic more and I think pairing him with Nash might be a smart idea see what he can do. Dragic is going to have to step up and Richardson and Nash will probably have to play 36 37 minutes a game a piece. LB is really important to this team get well soon!

* Alvin Gentry has been talking up Richardson's defense #with exaggeration about his defensive resume# and Richardson lived up to the billing in his first game. He helped Stoudemire on the post and deflected or stole wing passes. It might look like Richardson is cutting into Leandro Barbosa's playing time but it probably has more to do with Barbosa's right wrist, which he originally injured during FIBA Americas Championship play and has lingered. He left Saturday's practice with it wrapped up. But that was an efficient 14 minutes with 3-of-3 shooting. He scored once on a weaving drive and twice on fastbreaks. The most impressive one close the first quarter, when he was not even running full speed and scored in 4.4 seconds as he went by two Timberwolves.

Barbosa's wrist pain has come and gone since arriving in late September. He ended practices during training camp with both wrists and one hand wrapped in ice. Barbosa's wrist is "really sore," according to Gentry, who said it would be something they will have to monitor daily. That said, he expects Barbosa to play in Miami on Tuesday. --Coro
