I was at that Boston game last year on Martin Luther King's birthday and it was a massacre. The Suns owe the Celtics. Amare had 3 damn points and I still believe that was the game that got Porter fired. Worst game I attend since Golden St. raped the Milwaukee Bucks back in 93'(OLD SCHOOL!) when Sprewell destroyed the Bucks with Chris Webber.

I was behind the Suns basket in the first half right behind those Australian guys off this board who were going to every game or something last year. They were screaming at those dudes all game! LOL
I just kept drinking beer...

Man that game sucked. SDU and I were in front row seats and TASTIC and the others were just across from us. I did get to touch Grant Hill for the first time though.

Phoenix v. Miami

PG: Steve Nash - Mario Chalmers
SG: Jason Richardson - Dwayne Wade
SF: Grant Hill - Quentin Richardson
PF: Amare Stoudemire - Michael Beasley
C: Channing Frye - Jermaine O'Neal

Phoenix Bench:
Barbosa*, Dudley, Amundson, Dragic, Clark

Miami Bench:
Daequan Cook, Udonis Haslem, James Jones, Dorrel Wright

Prediction:
Honestly, I think we will have to win this one up front. Stoudemire and Frye will pick apart Miami's frontline and our gaurds will be able to space the floor and get a few open looks. But with shooters like Chalmers, Cook, Richardson and Jones the key is not letting Miami get just as many open looks.

Phoenix v. Orlando

PG: Steve Nash - Jameer Nelson
SG: Jason Richardson - Vince Carter*
SF: Grant Hill - Mickael Pietrus
PF: Amare Stoudemire - Ryan Anderson
C: Channing Frye - Dwight Howard

Phoenix Bench:
Barbosa*, Dudley, Amundson, Dragic, Clark

Orlando Bench:
JJ Redick, Matt Barnes, Brandon Bass, Marcin Gortat

Prediction:
A lot of this will depend on the units that either team can put on the floor that night. Will Barbosa/Carter be available? We know Lewis will be riding pine. Nelson is rounding into form slowly this season, but his shoulder doesn't seem to be bothering him at all and he may enjoy getting out on the break as much as Nash does. The Suns bench needs to limit the hustle of Bass and Gortat in order for this to be a W in the Suns column.

Phoenix v. Boston

PG: Steve Nash - Rajon Rondo
SG: Jason Richardson - Ray Allen
SF: Grant Hill - Paul Pierce
PF: Amare Stoudemire - Kevin Garnett
C: Channing Frye - Rasheed Wallace

Phoenix Bench:
Barbosa*, Dudley, Amundson, Dragic, Clark

Boston Bench:
Eddie House, Marquis Daniels, Kendrick Perkins, Shelden Williams

Prediction:
No secret here, the only chance we have is to run them into the ground. The problem? They know that too. I put Wallace in their starting lineup because I just don't know how they could gaurd our frontcourt otherwise. If Doc decides to roll out with Perkins, Stoudemire/Frye will have a field day.

Phoenix v. Washington

PG: Steve Nash - Gilbert Arenas
SG: Jason Richardson - Mike Miller
SF: Grant Hill - Caron Butler*
PF: Amare Stoudemire - Andray Blatche
C: Channing Frye - Brendan Haywood

Phoenix Bench:
Barbosa*, Dudley, Amundson, Dragic, Clark

Washington Bench:
Randy Foye, Deshawn Stevenson, Fabricio Oberto

Prediction:
Jamison's shoulder injury is a lucky break for the Suns and, as always seems the case with the Wizards, an unlucky "break" for them. Caron bruised his knee in their home opener, but will probably be fine to go whn we get to town. This game will be all about mismatches and our ability to dictate the tempo of the game. Unlike Orlando and Boston, Washington will have a harder time slowing the pace down. It will be high scoring and Agent 0 will come out firing on all cylinders.

Phoenix v. Philadelphia

PG: Steve Nash - Lou Williams
SG: Jason Richardson - Andre Igoudala
SF: Grant Hill - Thadeus Young
PF: Amare Stoudemire - Elton Brand
C: Channing Frye - Samuel Dalembert

Phoenix Bench:
Barbosa*, Dudley, Amundson, Dragic, Clark

Philadelphia Bench:
Marreese Speights, Jason Kapono, Royal Ivey, Rodney Carney

Prediction:
The Suns will get their first look at Eddie Jordan's "Princeton" Offense. Floor spacing will be very important to both teams in this matchup, but as long as Phoenix can limit Philadelphia's limited outside shooting, the Princeton offense should fall apart as the Suns run over the debris.

Suns 122 - 76ers 96

Agreed 100% Wade will probably torch us but hey, whoever scores the most wins.

I don't think we have enough bigs to contain even their starting front line, let alone their bench. This is going to be a very tough match up, up front, considering D12 is already in DPOY form and Amare is still rusty as hell and haven't got his legs back.

Suns 102 - Magic 118. I see D12 putting up another 20/20.

Suns 98 - Celtics 104

Agree with 1st sentence. The problem is whatever starting front line they have, they can still match up against Amare and Frye. Perkins can take Amare and both Garnett and Sheed are quick enough and good enough as defenders to stay on Frye no matter where he is.

Suns 96 - Celtics 104

Agreed. Agent Zero will put up some nice numbers 28/8. Without Jamison they lose a big part of their front line offense.

Suns 125 - Wizards 110

I think we match up well against Philly. Spacing shouldn't be much of a problem considering Philly has no outside shooters. As long as one of our front line guys take Brand or Dally out of the paint, we should be fine. Speights is going to give them 20/10

Suns 109 - 76ers 107

I think Garnett and Wallace are interchangeable in terms of defense on Stoudemire and Frye. Wallace can give Amare fits like no other, but I don't think Perkins has a snowball's chance at gaurding Amare AND staying out of foul trouble at the same time.

To me, Perkins is "Howard/O'Neal" insurance. I don't think he can get out and gaurd Amare for fear of him getting blown by.

Heat have won 3 out of the last 4 against Phoenix. It won't be an easy game.

Exactly it will NOT be an easy game. It's a good starting barometer though. Wade's going to go nuts, I can just feel it.

I am very interested to see what kind of defense Jrich will have against Dwade. He says it is a focal point this year, this will be a big test for him.....

PHX@MIA
Two teams that are probably feeling too good about themselves right now. Should be a good one, but I'm guessing Heat win
LOSS

PHX@ORL
Magic will be playing in a troublesome return from the road...home game. Helpful if the Pistons give the Magic a good battle the night before
LOSS

PHX@BOS
Boston is pretty good. I'll be looking for some sort of moral victory this nite.
LOSS

PHX@WAS
A lot depends on how well The Wizards do this week. Suns will be in desparation mode, hopefully Washington is feeling comfy. Wildest game of the trip.
LOSS

PHX@PHL
2nd game of back-to-backs for both. I dunno what the Sixer are made of , but Suns won't go O'fer.
WIN

1-4 ...with a few nice breaks and a handful of luck it could swing to 3-2.

I agree that tonights game against Miami is crucial to the success of this roadtrip. They will be tough to beat and like someone mentioned D-Wade is going to light a fire on us. Regardless if we can pull out the W it will give us confidence going to Orlando. If we win in Miami but loose the next two there won't be as much pressure against Was and PHL.

My Predictions:

PHX @ MIA

Suns loose due to the loss of LB and a poor shooting performance from Frye and J-Rich. Although Frye has been terrific so far, he had a tendency to disapear on the road trips we played during the preseason. This game really depends on J-Rich and STAT. If either of those guys start beasting then we might be in good shape. Unfortunatly I don't expect our defense to stop Wade from having a rediculous night, and thus list this as a LOSS...

PHX @ ORL

Like I said before, If we win in Miami and Amare steps up his intensity this game is winnable. Orlando is short handed giving us a nice oppertunity to steal one here. LOSS

PHX @ BOS

LOSS

PHX @ WAS

We win this one easily I believe. Playing Orlando and Boston will make us stronger regardless of if we beat them. After those two, WAS should be a walk in the park. Don't get me wrong I think they are a good team but I have a feeling they will be inconsistant, plus they have some key injuries yet again.

PHX @ PHL

There is no way we don't win this game after how they embarresed us in Mexico. We beat them easily during our first preseason meeting and we will do it again. This will be a very high scoring game.

RECORD: 2 and 3 (However we have the potential to go 4-1 if the stars align)

YAY hello suns fans! can't wait for tonight's game!

a great offense agains a great defense, both teams off a nice start, a bunch of spectacular players on the floor.. guaranteed fun!

I say we win just for the homecourt advantage, but tough one. ENJOY!

Miami was one of the tougher teams on this trip so far so good 1-0

Orlando is gonna be tough to beat lets put up a good fight and see where we go

Return to Phoenix Suns
