Drop Augustin for Nate Robinson?

Augustin isn't producing, and things could get worse when Raja Bell comes back in a week.

Nate Robinson was just dropped in my league, but he could be out for the next two weeks with a sprained ankle.

My options are:

a) Stand pat with Augustin.

b) Use my waiver priority (currently 5th out of 12 teams) to get Nate Robinson.

c) Wait to see if Nate Robinson clears waivers, snatch him then if he's available and save my waiver priority for a better player down the road.

I'd put the odds at 50-50 that Robinson clears waivers in my league. Worse if positive news about his injury comes out before then. And I should say that bonehead drops don't happen often in my league (though someone did drop Brandon Jennings before his first game. I had kittens when someone else got him off waivers).

You know what's scary, I have Augustin and someone just dropped Robinson in my league. I used my waiver priority on Haywood though so eh the only option I really have is to stand pat...

To answer your question though I would drop Augustin for Robinson. Robinson has got off to a slow start and won't repeat last year's numbers but I still think he'll be better than DJ (unless DJ starts, but let's cross that bridge when / if it ever happens)...

As for whether or not you should use your waiver priority... I think I would. But then again I say this because in most of my leagues I don't run into situations where I have to use my waive priority more than once a season...

Right. Well, the waiver period lasts until Thursday. I guess I have til then to think it over. Thanks for the input.

What are your thoughts on Larry Hughes?

My short list for guards right now is looking line: Hughes, Robinson, Sessions, Delonte

And my potential drops are: Fernandez, Augustin

I'd be leaning towards Delonte and Robinson, myself, but I hate Larry Hughes. Objectively speaking, I don't think he's a bad pick-up, maybe better than Nate, but I'd definitely snatch Delonte.

I would drop rudy before Augustin, Augustin was injured last year and that limited him to being a jump shooter, this year he is healthy, he will continue to develop, imo better then nate robinson too.

thats just my opinion though...

Funny, I'm facing the EXACT same decision as you. I'm gonna see if he clears waivers, then snatch him up.

Who would you drop to get him, if you were me?

My choices are:

Augustin
Speights
Delonte

I'm finally at the point where I like EVERYONe on my squad.

DJ Augustin. I wasn't kidding about the "exact" part. haha. But if I were you I'd drop Delonte instead, IMO.

I just ended up dropping Augustin for Nate... Not sure how Nate is going to fit in with the rest of my team with his FG% generally being all over the place, but either way Augustin's minutes look like they're going to be curtailed quite a bit with the return of Bell and Flip Murray.

I also have 2 alternate pickups in mind in case Nate doesn't work out...
