The Toronto Bills?

Post#1 » by Victorious1 » Fri Jul 25, 2008 5:30 pm

With the slumping US economy and the slow ticket sales in Buffalo, should the Bills consider relocating to Toronto. Toronto is a large mega city with huge football fans. And like the Raptors in basketball, they could be marketed as Canada's team.
Location wise it's still close enough for the diehard Buffalo fans to drive across the border to check out the games. Plus I think there is pently of room for both the NFL and the CFL to exist.
What do you think?

I think no. They've shown they don't really have the capacity to fill the demands of a CFL team, let alone an NFL caliber one.

Also once the NFL goes into Canada, your nuts if you think the CFL is going to last 5 years after that.

That being said, it really doesn't make much sense for the Bills to move into Toronto after they have already tapped into the market as best as possible, and even ticket sales in Toronto are taking a much harder road traveled than expected. Just doesn't seem to be in the cards right now.

1) the CFL sucks...
2) Toronto has success in almost every other sport in the city
3) Why the bills? they are the least attractive team i'd want in Toronto. There team is horrid. I'd rather have a team like the Jaguars.

Toronto hasn't shown near the capacity to fully field a powerhouse football city like they are being heralded as.

Jaguars are a team that is "right now". Give them 2-3 years and they'll need to overhaul certain positions.

The Bills are slowly but surely growing into a good team.

If you hate the Bills, why even post. Go to the Jags forum?

The thing that makes me angry is the fact that they are using us to help keep the Bills franchise afloat by giving us games in Toronto, without the intention of ever giving us a team..

Just get a team here, we'll figure out the rest....

BUT...if we get an NFL team, things have GOT to change, like tail gating.

Bring em over...we'll revive that franchise. I hate the cfl as it is and i actually pray that we get an NFl team so that it kills that league, i can't stand it.

There will be games, but until there is a 80,000 seat open air stadium in Toronto, it will NEVER HAPPEN people. Toronto will have to get the Olympics or something - I don't think that even Pan American or Commonwealth games will do it.
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.

in my personal point of view i suggest NO.
They've shown they don't really have the capacity to fill the demands of a CFL team, let alone an NFL caliber one.

I'm here because of the regional links.

Also, the Giants are going to win it all this year.

An NFL team in Toronto would do well IMO.

Its hard to sell the current games cause people thought that Toronto is full of Bills fans. Thats not true. Its filled with fans of other teams.

Change it to Toronto Bills then toronto as a city would have a team to cheer for.

Return to Buffalo Bills
