Is this a sad story with this guy or what.. We just have to live with the constant worry of this guy breaking down at the slightest contact..

Re: Bynum hurt
Hayes had a ridiculously hard foul at the end of the game there. He was looking to stop Bynum from scoring but he really landed a hard strike rather than trying to hold him down. I thought it was a little dirty when it happened, but in the end it was just a hard foul. The MRI just showed a strained elbow and there's no serious injury according to yahoo. I think Bynum will man up and won't miss a game. Once you step on the floor, pain from nagging injuries like that disappear.

Wait -- so is a strained right elbow the diagnosis AFTER the MRI? Or was it before the MRI and we are still waiting for the MRI results?? It wasn't clear to me from the article.

rrrrrright. Didn't watch the game? If you were fouled that hard I think we'd be talking arm re-attachment.

Bynum Has a Strain, Not a Sprain
That was the good news on Bynum’s strained right elbow, which he had trouble lifting over his head after a very hard foul by Chuck Hayes and Carl Landry in the waning moments of Wednesday’s overtime win in Houston. According to Lakers spokesman John Black, a sprain refers to ligament or cartilage damage, while a strain affects the muscle or tissue, the strain being less serious. “He’s basically a game-time decision,” said Black. Bynum, who had 17 points, 17 rebounds, five assists and three blocks against Houston, said at practice that he was relieved, but remains doubtful to play on Friday.
“Tests are pretty good,” said Jackson. “He’s got a recovery rate that is going to take whatever the limits his discomfort put him (in) … He wants to play, he’s having a good run of it, he’s having a whole lot of fun getting all of those minutes out there so I’m sure he wants to get back as quickly as possible.”
Bynum said that it was “nothing too serious,” and only has to deal with some of the pain associated with the muscle strain. He joked that he was excited not to be facing Memphis – against whom, of course, he hurt respective knees in each of the past two seasons – but didn’t rule out a Sunday return against Emeka Okafor and New Orleans.

He did get hammered brah. But your right he needs to go right back at them, but we all know too well how he can hurt people even when he's not trying. Remember when he took out Wallace last year. Made him ish his kidney right out his arse. Poor Wallace I thought the poor guy was going to die.

Oh he got back at them alright, and your right brah making his freethrows when it counted and helping us win the game. Totally agree with that.

this is so true. Shaq was, maybe still is, amazing at absorbing serious contact. They just don't make dudes like him. Kobe is another amazing specimen, and Lebron seems to be too. Wade- nope, he's human and gets injured like just about everyone else in the world. AC Green was amazing in the takes punishment without going down for an injury sense too.

The human body is an unbelievable thing. To be Shaq's size and still be able to function the way he did still amazes me. The dude was super human. For some reason in basketball you see it more than anything else. If you compared all the people in the world, Lerbon just might be the most impressive. Hes probably one of the most athletic people in the world. How can you be his size and be that fast and have that much body control.
