Nice. Blake Griffin is going to have some catching up to do to take away the rookie hype Jennings is generating, Kid is balling out of his mind.

SI has him ranked third. Funny that nobody on ESPN's list drafted 1-5 are on the top 5. I can't tell how to rate this draft class yet. A lot of steals like Blair, Jennings, and Lawson have emerged while players like Thabeet and Hill are looking like busts, and players like Griffin, Harden, and Evans haven't proved a thing (yes I know Griffin's awesome).

On ESPN - Thorpe always uses is PER as a tool.

Flynn 20.84 is second to Jennings 21.32 in PER among rookies who have played significant minutes.

PER isn't a perfect stat by any means, but it doesn't make the guy a tool just for using it. Maybe somewhat douchey, but not a flat out tool, that's too harsh.

anyways, props to Flynn for only 2 turnovers in 33 minutes, best game taking care of the ball yet. Also I thought he was a mediocre at best shooter, but he's looked pretty damned good so far.

We need to let Flynn off his leash offensively and let him create. He should be our #2 option right now but it seems like he's behind Brewer and Gomes. I hope Rambis isn't too stubborn.

It's early. Flynn has to learn how o run an offense first and then scoring will come naturally. We don't want him to turn into Foye #2.

:D, good one. I didn't notice how "tool" could have a double entendre. Didn't mean it that way.

PER is something the ESPN guys including Thorpe use a lot, especially since Hollinger is their guy.

Flynn might be the best player out of the draft.

I don't think Flynn is even the best point guard in the draft.

it was a great pg draft....so far anyways

of course nobody is the best 3-4 games in their nba career....

Jennings, flynn, lawson, curry, evans, all have the looks of good nba starting pgs

Evans has looked awful to start the NBA season at PG. [I'm not saying he will be an awful player.] But he has had a poor start to his NBA career.

I was all for Curry pre-draft. After seeing Flynn play it's not even close, Curry can be broken in play-offs Flynn is tuff as nails and a natural leader. Kudos to Jennings & Lawson, but as Rambis's influnce starts to infiltrate they will be left behind it is very obvious that Rambis is very involved in Flynn's development. He also seems to have a BBIQ thats way up there.

Besides a a bad FG % his start is not much diff than flynn....when comparing asisst/To, rebs, steals and such. He needs better shot selection forsure.

He's shooting 36%, thats not bad its awful. At 36% you can't stay on the floor in this league [unless you are a rookie who is still learning] . You need at least 40% to be relevant.

[To be clear, I liked Evans in the draft, and still like him. I'd try to get him if I could. But his start has been awful.]
