fantastic game. loved every minute of it.

But anyone who says amares defense was good was not watching amares defense.

If you want to watch defense watch jared freaking dudley. he was phenomenal tonight.

<-- JRich supporter since the trade

im glad nash isnt coasting since he got his extension, nash of old.

hill couldnt catch a break from refs whistles

refs were bad tonight, but boston definitely got the worst end of it.

we won this game from our 3ball. love watching the long bombs!

Amare had a HUGE block tonight. I believe Suns lead by 4 points with a minute to play, and Amare blocked Rondo, otherwise the game could of turned in Boston's favor.

Well Amare may not have played good defense but it's a lot better than what we've been used to seeing. Also KG looks really old right now, I saw two plays where in the days of old he would have dunked it but now he lays it up.

watch his spacing and reaction time in the paint, its disappointing, and KG had enough alley oops and easy baskets for everyone to notice.

im still optimistic, but my expectations keep lowering

I've been away from the comp since the game finished cuz I was out telling anyone and everyone how great of a game this was and how much it meant to win this! Amare's block was HUGE and Studley/Sweet Lou were BEASTS! Not to mention Dragic looks better and better every time he hits the court (is it just me, or does anyone else love when Gentry puts Nash and Dragic on the court together?). Not to take anything away from JR's performance tonight, but you have to give this to our bench. Our second unit not only tore up the C's second unit, but also held their own when they started putting in their starters. The depth of this team really shined tonight. This has to mean a lot to this team to hand the C's their first loss of the season, as well as do it on their home court.

Can't wait to see how this team develops towards the all-star break, but if tonight was a sign of things to come... I think we can expect some great things from this team. They not only matched the C's intensity, which as we know with KG is through the roof, but they didn't back down, got into the C's heads', and came out with a W.

Keep up the hustle and intensity Suns. If the critics aren't **** their pants yet then you all will soon scare it out of them. Tonight just shows that you shouldn't sleep on this team just because last season was a horrid mess.

edit: SUNS **** WIN! (please excuse the language mod's, I'm sure you understand)

I saw the same thing, though Frye was committing similar sin too. Amare just doesn't have the instinct for defensive spacing once he gets lost on his man due to picks and screens. And our defense on pick-n-roll is specially atrocious, which however Nash has to take equally big blame.

Anyway, my point is that Amare needs to keep focus to have more that block-on-Rondo def. success. A little tired or somehow lost focus, it's bound to be exploited. It's however less of a liability when Nash is not on the court.
