Hey fellas,

Regardless of how hard you all are on your team, I just wanted to say that tonight was a GREAT game. Even if the Suns had lost I would have still put this at the top of my list for the best games I've seen during the regular season. I thought both teams were intense and fought on every possession. While it may be something you all are used to given KG's personality (he is one of my favorite players in the game right now), it is not something we are used to seeing from the Suns. I sincerely look forward to our next match-up and wish the C's the best until we meet again!

...and not to add fuel to the fire, but tonight's officiating was horrid. The first game of the season I have genuinely said "WTF" on the majority of the calls (or lack there-of).

1. Thumbs up to the Suns' fans for being gracious in victory.

2. So much for this talk about being the Bulls win record or having a legendary '85 Chicago Bears-esque defense. Transcendant level teams don't play like this at home, letting the other team outhustle them. Yes, even I admit there were a couple of calls that went against them, even one aggregious one on the Pierce charge, but as others have stated, while this team plays tough bully defense, only Pierce brings that physical element to the offense for this team.

3. It was good to see more of the 'ole KG in this game and I thought Rondo and Perk played well. Ray played tough for a change, though expectedly he got lit up by Richardson.

Pierce sucked tonight. He was sleep walking. When Rondo plays even with a 94 year old Nash, it's not going to be good. Rondo needed to win that match up but he didn't. Antoine Walker going 0-6 from 3's didn't help either.

We have played two bad games now after started off great. It's a long season. Anything can happen. I miss BBD.

Nice game and KG and Perkins. Too bad Doc went with Antione in the the 4th instead of Perkins.

The Celtics tried to stay within their regular team offense. Doc should have told Rondo to go to the hoop every time down the floor.

1) fouls Nash out of the game.

2) gets points since Nash can't cover Rondo.

Doc lost this game, even though the team looked slow and old. Last spring Rondo "ate up" Nash. He can do it any time he wants. But that has to be the game plan, not shuffling the ball around the perimeter.

I've gotta give it up to you guys in here, after reading through the thread I can see you've got great attitudes and enjoy real basketball. I say this because most every board or thread containing Laker fans is full of arrogant stupidity and bandwagoners. First and foremost I am a Suns fan but am open minded towards other teams, all except the Lakers. Their fanbase is absolutely horrible and predominantly people that are clueless about anything basketball.

I wasn't expecting a Suns win as the Celtics have been near untouchable. Lets hope both teams will build on the experience gained from this game. :)

the celtics players did NOT lose this game. Their coach did.....

Doc's game plan was per normal, pass it around the perimeter. He should have had Rondo attacking Nash on every possession. That was our best match up but we never exploited it. If we had, not only would we have scored more consistently [either Rondo gets a layup or he hits the man helping Nash cover Rondo, who has an easy open shot] but we also foul out Nash.

Doc cost us the game tonight. And if he doesn't use Rondo as an offensive weapon when appropriate, when it is a favorable match up for the Celtics, he will cost us more games. Doc only thinks of Rondo as a facilitator. He is a good facilitator. But he can also score. We saw it in the playoffs. We should be seeing it more often. But Doc is more worried about getting the Big 3, and Wallace their shots, than winning.

Leave it to a Sun fan to come here and jock ride, had the Celtics thumped that behind no way in hell you would've been in here brown nosing. You trying to lump one fan base as arrogant and clueless is redundantly tired and ignorant, especially after making this your first post............very genius. If we're so clueless come read our board, you'll see we have some of the most intelligent posters on our forum.

Truth be told you can't stand the fact that we own that a$$ and will continue to punk the Suns at will. As a matter of fact you'll find out up close and personal next Thursday.

How did a flame war between Suns and Lakers fans start on the Celtics board?

We played poorly, the Suns are a very good team and they got hot. Sheed needs to chill on the threes, 0-6 shouldn't happen. Anyways, we were bound to lose some. If we gotta lose, we might as well lose to a Suns team that plays in the West and doesn't have an irritating fanbase.

The Suns played absolutely great. Their intensity was tremendous and they absolutely deserved this win. Nash still amazes me.

We weren't really that bad - just didn't match up the intensity from the start and missed some open shots. Good lesson in the early season.
