Jason Spitz, the team's starting center has been placed on IR.

I'm not overly concerned about this given Wells is playing well, but it does make it harder to evaluate what to do with Spitz going forward. I think he's a subpar player when at guard, but maybe he could become a quality center. He hasn't played an extended stretch at center though to evaluate whether the team should consider Spitz the center of the future and now he's a free agent.

Wells has been ok but he sucked last year and was beaten out by Spitz this year.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

So that makes Lang the backup at LT and both G spots I'm assuming.

This only hurts our depth IMO. I think Wells is a better player than Spitz. I think the Packers thought the battle between them was very close, however they went with Spitz because he's younger and they wanted to evaluate him in a contract year. Not to mention the fact that he was drafted by Thompson and Wells was not.

Possibly, but Deitrich-Smith is also in the mix.

They went with Spitz because they wanted more size up front and, ironically, because Wells has been injury-prone.
