I do think with Rondo and the way he acts and his ego etc, that the chancers are that he becomes a cancer for boston after KG and Allen are gone to keep him in check.

wow, this topic has jumped around a bit. gotta love going from rondo to the 2007 series and Bell and JJ. great topic of all around stuff.

As a suns fan, I hate both topics. why, because I would hands down take rondo over dragic. I hate rondo, but see the talent even if he is not that good of a shooter. I do not want to relive "that" series, and find stern and jackson as morons who need to leave. The letter of the law is a joke because in pass incidences, the altercations were actually fights and suspensions were not bad at all. I do not think the elson and Jr thing was an altercation, but did not like how they overlooked ol timmy coming on the court. Just like what they said about amare and boris, we did not know what their intent was. Timmy might have thought it was going to escalate. We will never know because it did not go in our favor.

The JJ situation was a mistake along with trading the 04 pick to chi. We could have got something good in that draft and DA was dealing with a young team at that time and could have done it. But, you keep JJ and bring in Bell the next year. Now that would have been nice.

Oh well, this team would have been different in many aspects if DA and Sarver would have looked at pure talent and what could be an all around good team. I believe we would have been in a better situation than trading for shaq and other moves.

i dont think any one is arguing Dragic over rondo. i think if we had drafted and kept him he would have sucked, so as much as i hate him, good for him in going to a better situation for him. keeping in mind the style d'antoni coached, i would rather have had Rudy fernandez than rondo. if we could have the rondo of now, and JJ, and loul deng... sweet, but we dont, so i dont want rondo.

Duncan did not break any rules when he left the bench. Stu Jackson said they looked at the incident when Duncan left the bench and determined there was no altercation.

Are players aloud to walk six feet onto the floor while the game is in progress? A tech at least should have been assessed. It also looked like Duncan thought it was an altercation.

+1. I think you have to look at Duncan's body language. From what I see, it seemed like he was going on the court with the intent of involving himself in the altercation, should one take place. I think walking 6 feet onto the court is sufficient to be labeled intent.

I mean guys get T'd up so easily nowadays when players get tangled up under the basket and a bit of arm flailing/flopping and the refs pull the T-Trigger. 99% of the time there is neither an altercation nor any intent to get into one, yet the refs still call the technicals. If two players get tangled up even though it's clear they both just want to get off each other and you see a player come off the bench and walk onto the court in the direction, I think SOMETHING should be done. Heck, coaches get T'd up when they get too far onto the court and they aren't even limited to the "immediate vicinity" rule.

I agree the suspensions to Diaw and Amare were by the book and warranted, but if neither of them got into the altercation, whether there was one or not, and they were suspended for leaving the "immediate vicinity," then Duncan should've got T'd up at the very least.

no, you are wrong, i dont like rondo because he cant shoot, is exteremly cocky, and extremely over-rated.

Being the primary point guard on a championship team in his rookie season, under the not-exactly-egoless KG and Ray Allen had something to do with his cockiness and/or over-rating.

Also, he sure as hell can shoot now, just not from the 3.

Why do we continue to discuss things that are of no importance now ?? It didn't happen, let it go and move on, what difference does it make who we may have gotten or not gotten ??? We are playing well with the squad we have now.
