Rip is a good defender, probably not the best to put on the real quick PGs, but you can't really stop those guys anyway and I think Rip could provide excellent D most of the time. He's always in great shape and is very active.
Perfect fit for the offense imo, great system guy, cuts well, stays active and gets to the right spots and is an excellent spot up shooter. Shot 44% from 3 a few years ago. Perfect guy to play off the players we have, Kobe, Pau, Lo. He'd be a guy that would benefit highly from the triangle and the passing of these guys. He is also a good passer in himself and has done quite well when called upon to be a facilitator.
Plus he's a veteran leader, who is clutch with championship exp. And I think Kobe respects and trusts him as well. Pretty much a long shot never going to happen, especially since they'd probably have to trade Fish, but its not out of the realm of possibilities with Detroit moving to the Stucky, Gordon, Bynum backcourt and clearing a little more cap space for one more name next year... Maybe they'll take sasha instead of Fish?

Thoughts?
