On a three game win streak, and here, we face another squad which I believe we should beat. Regardless, people expect us to compete with the Hornets for a playoff seed, so a win here could be huge, even this early in the season. Hornets are on the 2nd night of a back-to-back (lost 88-104 to the Lakers last night) and aren't really a deep squad, so that could play a big role. After NOH, we have the Thunder, Raptors and are at the Thunder. All three of those are as well winnable games.

Even though New Orleans have struggled and are underachieving, this game is still a test. As you have mentioned, the Hornets are a team that we're likely competing with for a playoff spot. Putting ourselves at .500 and them at 4 games under .500 would certainly help towards that goal, because every little bit counts.

This game may be a little tougher than expected, since Gordon is doubtful with a sore left groin injury. We should be able to match up with them in the front court, but that makes things a lot more complicated in the back court if he doesn't play. Butler and Thornton probably start and Ricky & Rush get a chance to prove their worth.

This is a must win. We can get to .500 and continue our winning streak. I hope Eric can play.

Any update on Blake?

We need to improve on our free throw shooting. Again we just need to bring it and play hard. I'm hoping for 4 in a row
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

While Gordon more than likely will not log heavy minutes, let's hope his wiener isn't too bad to the point where he can't play maybe 15 or 20 minutes. Any contribution from him will be great, but at the same time, if it means that there is a high probability that he'll worsen the injury, then by all means, I'd rather sacrifice one game rather than 20. This is speaking very obviously of course.

If Gordon's injury is serious we should wave Skinner and sign or trade for a sg. I don't trust Al or Ricky. I would rather baron and Telfair play together but we won't don't have a 3rd PG and we will be too small.

They should limit EJ's minutes just to be sure. Play Rasual at SG a bit with Al mainly at SF tonight. Then use Novak or Ricky for limited minutes to rest the Rasual and Al.

Or work the Baron/Telfair combo with Mardy getting some limited PG minutes.

I would just straight out waive Ricky or even Rush, but like already said, we could run Collins at the two, or have Bassy/Baron on the court together.

Oh how I' dlike to have Frederick Jones back.

I dont understand why Ricky isn't getting any minutes. Rasual and Thornton have both been sucking up until the last game (2nd half atleast) and Gordon is the only other shooting guard. When he has played I thought he has played pretty well.

For some reason I get the feeling that Rush is going to have a breakout game for the Clips tonight, which means 10-12 points.

Let us remember that the Hornets got whooped by the lakers last night-- so they'll be hungry. With or without Gordon, I hope we can get it done!

Nice passing by the Clips on that one. Unfortunately, the Hornets are shooting lights out from 3 with the majority of them being wide open.

Camby better get his lazy @$$ moving and close out on West or put Smith in.
