McGee + Butler + #5... That would be sick

Use the green font my man

How is this better than Jamison/Butler/5?

McGee is not starter quality nor does he have the stamina to play big minutes. He's gotten pulled prematurely from a few games this season due to fatigue. He's a great spark off the bench but you, with that trade, are putting a terrible rotation at 4 and 5. Heck I even hate the Jamison trade.

That's a pretty good package IMO, especially if we took Rubio, Flynn, Jennings or Curry with that pick. I don't know what our depth chart would look like though...

Nash/Dragic/(RubioORFlynnORJenningsORCurry)
Butler/Barbosa
Hill/Richardson
Jamison/Dudley/Clark
Frye/Amundson/Lopez/Collins

I love our current lineup but that is pretty sick! And it makes us a better team for the future.

I concur! We could have also made a JRICH trade to another team on top of that.
Say JRICH to CHI for Deng/Johnson? Frees up the logjam at SG and gets us a good SF long term and a Rookie that we were looking at drafting.

Nash/Dragic/Jennings
Butler/Barbosa
Deng/Hill/Dudley
Jamison/Clark/Johnson
Frye/Amundson/Lopez

:D

:o

hey, its cool w/ me.

If an Amare trade happened, the whole team would have blown up. So you can forget about adding Nash and Hill to that roster.

So true! I wonder what many fans are thinking. Without Amare, say replaced by any package talked about in the summer on this team, the team would be at most one and down, if it ever makes the playoff, even with Nash and Hill on it. Amare's function on offense is taken for granted big time. Even when he is not scoring, his screen setting and being constant threat in the paint creates a lot of space. I don't think the offense without Amare would get as many good, open jump shots.

And Jamison is a bad contract with much worse defense than Amare. Butler is constantly injured. Well, we could have Biedrins now or maybe David Lee, to get rid of Amare for!
