Drop anthony randolph??

Post#1 » by dexbl b » Thu Nov 5, 2009 2:17 pm

I know a lot of people love AR but i'm debating if i should drop him now. Nelson said at most hes gonna have anthony randolph be a backup for biedrins. Randolph is healthy and only got to play 8 minutes last night!? Stinks i wasted a pick on him, but it doesn't look like hes gonna get any playing time this season.

I dropped him but only because Monta Ellis found his way to the waivers. ; ) Check the FA's and Waivers first though. It doesn't look like Randolph is going to get huge minutes in GS.

Why in the hell did so many people take this guy so high, only to drop him after 2 weeks? You should have known going in that Nellie ball is the most unpredictable thing in sports, and that you will get solid games and horrid games until they get a slew of injures or decide to tank for the draft pick. Plus, he had a minor injury so he'd been limited thus far.

If there is a top 50, maybe top 80 player available who is likely to stay that highly ranked, then do it. Otherwise, have some patience and you deserve the horrible statline for lack of preparation.

I have him in two leagues and will hold onto him for at least another month or two. If he still isn't getting consistent minutes by then, maybe I consider dropping him. But as it stands now, with the way that team is, there is just too much potential there to give up so soon. Especially for the skill set he has, which could end up being very nice fantasy wise.

Anthony Randolph has been set free!!!!!!!! Booya! Mikki Moore started...........what a joke! If Nellie wants those 24 wins ASAP to be the winningest coach of all time, he needs to set Randolph loose for the rest of the season. Nellie likes offense, and Randolph's offense >>>>>> Mikki Moore's offense. Come on now..........

he was 0-10 when playing real competition then they let him play against the scrubs and he put up those empty stats... Of course we're really not concerned with anything but stats so who really cares. I'm just saying he didn't get this against the spooky-scary clippers SL, just their scrubs. And he prob wouldn't have played if the game were in contention. This is a hollow fantasy night for him, not a good indicator, unless of course GSW continues to get blown out, which is def a possibility. Sorry for all the contradictions; Nellie ball will do this to you.

Depends for who. With Biedrins and Turiaf still not playing, the guy will get his.

Biedrins injury, and S-Jax saga makes dropping him now premature.

If anyone dropped him, you missed out on a very nice line tonight. 17 pts, 13 rebs, 3 stls, 2 blks. Am In confident he'll be putting up lines close to that on a regular basis? I would be if I felt like Nellie would give him 30+ minutes every night, but that's still unlikely. It's annoying because Golden State is going to suck ass either way, so why give guys like Jackson and Moore all the minutes when they're not apart of your future? Let the kid play, damnit!

If Jackson get's traded to you think that guarantees him 30+ minutes? I have Randolph in 2 leagues and have been hoping for a Jackson trade for awhile now. I am hoping they get nothing of value in return bc he doesn't provide much value.

You got your wish. I dropped AR very early but was able to pick him back up as an FA. I'm hoping I got lucky. I don't really know how this trade affects AR. With Nelly you never know. If Vlad starts getting more minutes than AR I might just break something. Nelly if you are reading......please give this kid minutes!!

I seriously still don't know how this will affect Randolph. They could still put in Maggette at the 4 and now with Radman who knows what crazy lineups he'll throw out there. Mikki Moore is still playing more minutes than Randolph.

I'm right there with you. I'm going to stash AR for a few more weeks and see what happens. .
