Amar'e listed as a center on the all-star ballot

Post#1 » by MaryvalesFinest » Tue Nov 10, 2009 9:16 pm

Anyone wonder why he's listed at center and not PF? Anyway I guess that's a good thing because out of the competition it looks like Amare should be the wests starting center at this years all-star game.

Yeah not a lot of real competition except Bynum, Jefferson (if he overcomes his knee surgery) and MAYBE Oden if he has a killer year.

Gasol's playing outstanding. Would make an AWESOME C for us due to his attitude and toughness...

How come they keep messing with this, and now list Amare as a C. Wasn't he a PF last year? And yet Time Duncan is a PF? I don't get it.

they should probably change the way all-stars get voted in. we use 1-5 to label positions even on teams where it doesnt work like that.

its sort of arbitrary.

oh well, this makes it more likely stat is a starter :D

Thats a good point..at the very least give players eligibility at every spot they play...although that'd be pretty funny if DWade got voted in as the PG and SG or something

Year ago, when I was a lad, they just voted in the top players without regard for position and the coaches filled out the roster with whoever else they though they would need.
It was along time ago. Abe Lincoln and I would hide out behind the old schoolhouse, smoking cigarettes and reading the Sporting News
