Let's see:

Brook Lopez: 18 pts 7.7 reb 2.3 blks

Okafor: 10.9 pts 10.5 reb 2.0 blks

TC: 7.5 pts 7.7 reb 1.3 blks (entering tonight's game)

Never thought I'd say this, but I miss Mek. And we f---ed up taking DJ over Lopez. Yep.

ummm... you passed on lopez, you traded for diop, you traded for diaw, you traded for chandler, you drafted ajinca.

look in the mirror old man. this is your team. built the way you wanted it. dont sit there and complain about not having a post player.

We are reaping what has been sown....

This team actally overachieved the 2nd half of last year, but many took it as the beginning of a great rise into playoff contention. We see the evidence of poor deals, average players (or worse) and bad management. Larry is probably going to bail after this season unless they can rescue something via trades, but how do we pull that off from such a position of weakness?

Cue the good doctor from "Lost In Space"......

....we're doomed.... :sigh:
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

I agree with fats post as well, and it is quite possible that we overachieved. I'm still curious to see what this team could do with Okafor, though. We added nice pieces in Murray, Hendo, and Brown, I would have liked to see how we'd look with a guy we actually meshed very well with our other starters, and is clearly a better player. Of course that's done with now, and sadly (at least for me) it won't change.

We're still 3-4, with three of those losses coming to the top dogs in the East, so you should cheer up.

People forget the complete collapse at the end of last season. If I remember correctly, that collapse caused the post-trade team to have a record that would not have even been good enough for the playoffs last year.

I missed the game (I started to think we lose only when I'm watching, glad to see that broken), just looking at boxscore - Diop 3:29 PT 0 everything 2 turnovers. What is his role. Do we have him as a role player for hack-a-shaq strategy?

He should be inactive unless we have two injured players.

Ajinça is at least fun to watch at worst. I can't think of anything he is worse at than Diop (except weight).

<I have to play it> Lopez numbers are overated because he is playing on a bad team where nobody can score. Everybody knows that. <what a refreshing feeling>

I still think the only reason why we are losing is because we are missing easy shots that we were making during our run last year. I watched the game, start to finish and the Magic hit every fluke 3 they threw up in the first half, while the Bobcats 3's rimmed out.

That was the game, right there. We are still committing a lot of unforced turnovers, and not hitting shots. Our defense is still fine. We clamped down on them in the second half but were unable to capitalize.

The Okafor move is looking like a bad one right now, though. Tyson's a fine player, but we are completely inept in the post besides Gerald Wallace. I hate to say it but we may need Eddy Curry.

I used to be totally opposed to Curry, but have you guys seen him now??

Check out the before and after at about 20 seconds in, that is CRAZY how much weight he lost :o

Couple things...

- I missed the first couple fouls on Tyson, heard they were ticky tack... I know that one offensive foul was ridiculous
- I wish DJ would come out more aggressive. When he gets on the floor, he should be putting up shots and taking it to the rim -- he seems to be a little reserved
- Diop is horrible, I want more Ajinca :(
- We miss a lot of easy shots and turn it over for no reason
- What was up with the missed dunks by Gerald? I feel like if those went down, we would've had a better chance to win if the lead was cut to 2 instead of 6

Hopefully we can fix some things and beat Detroit tonight (on ANOTHER back to back...)

Someone needs to file a missing persons report on DJ. Where the heck has he been the last 2 games? Is he hurt?

i also missed the first quarter, but the guy on the radio said both chandler fouls in the 1st were questionable and steve martin later said they were questionable. i know his second foul against chicago was questionable.

i dont want to make excuses for him because he has been in the league long enough to know how to defend w/out picking up cheap fouls. somedays the calls just go against you though. and it doesnt help that LB apparently has a very strict rule about not playing guys in the first half with 2 fouls. okafor was always really good about avoiding foul trouble.

diop needs to be in a suit for the remaining 74 games. he is utterly useless.

vlad is not a pf. he kills us when he is put in to guard post players.

i wish i knew what was going on with dj. we really need him. the lopez snub is looking worse each game.

we have to stop taking so many 3s. that is not our game. we will not win by relying on outside shooting. we have to get the ball inside and get to the line.

where the hell is that up-tempo we heard about? just another LB mystery i guess.
