Need some advice on waivers:

Post#1 » by lukeridenour » Tue Nov 10, 2009 11:03 pm

My team:
Chris Paul
Gerald Wallace
Gilbert Arenas
Andrei Bargnani
Anthony Randolph
Charlie V
Greg Oden
Marvin Williams
Courtney Lee
Ronnie Brewer
Jason Thompson
Tracy McGrady (just added him for Sammy Dalebert)
Leandro Barbosa

So I'm weak up front with only 2 centers but and here are the waiver players of interest:
Nate Robinson
Mike Dunleavy
Drew Gooden
Ben Wallace
Mike Miller
Chris Anderson
Kenyon Martin
Antonio McDyess

What do you guys think? Any advice or comments are welcome.

To me there are no slam dunk waiver pick-ups. If you're dying for center stats, especially if you're in a roto league, then I'd think about dropping Courtney Lee for maybe Kenyon Martin or Ben Wallace. But if it's not an emergency, I'd lean on keeping Lee a little longer and seeing if he can turn his FG% around. Tracy McGrady would be my other potential drop candidate.

You may want to pursue a trade instead. For example, you could shop Gilbert Arenas around and see if you can get a top dollar big man in return, as I don't trust Arenas staying healthy long term.

Yep. Shop Arenas for Bynum, Lopez or other quality big man.

Ronnie Brewer can be dropped for Mike Miller or Nate Robinson. I'd prefer both on my roster over Brewer.

Get Chris Anderson and/or Ben Wallace if you need a Center. TMac is a huge question mark and won't be in shape or in form until IMHO end of November.
