amare's name has always been amar'e, he just didn't correct everyone til the beginning of last season. according to him its not amare or amare', its amar'e.

Q: First you change your jersey number from No. 32 to No. 1, now you change your name from Amare to Amaré to Amar'e. What gives?

A: There is no name change, that's how my name as always been spelled. It just hasn't been spelled that way, for some reason, for my whole career. I don't know why. That's been wrong since I was a rookie. For the past seven years all you guys have been spelling my name wrong.

I always vote for the best Lakers player by position. Realistically, Kobe and Bynum are the best to make it. Depending on Gasol's return, I wouldn't be surprised to either see him or Odom (off the bench) make it as well.

Artest is  though. Scary that we don't even need him to put up numbers to win games. Didn't see this depth coming just 2 years ago.
